Love the look of the '15+. Never liked the 350 NISMO nor the 370 prior. Too "boy ricer" for me. Kinda feel the same about the STi look. And for the price....no thanks.

Both are super Ricey in my opinion. Like some pep boys model.. or more like lipstick on a pig. Also they priced it way too high.
nothing beats a gunmetal or pearlwhite sport package with fangs. |
I like the white model. after seeing the black in person it's okay... the red is a bit too deep and makes it more subtle.

Hmm, sounds like everybody has their own likes and dislikes between the '16 and previous year Nismo models. Go figure! 😂 It must be the reason there are so many different options and trim packages. I must say I do prefer the '16's rear spoiler.... and I expect everyone in this forum to agree with me 😀😳😂😔😏

the rear spoiler on the current nismo is too small. if u can put something like a mine's lip or something to balance out with the rear bumper valance, then it could look pretty cool.

No regrets with my 2014 gunmetal Nismo. I told myself if I were to get a 370z it NEEDED to be a Nismo. Anyone with a Nismo will understand the looks it gets from other people on the road. A lot of people love the look and just can't seem to understand what kind of car it is, which is why they stare at it (especially non car enthusiasts). Plus, a lowered Nismo with wheel spacers will catch way more "thumbs up" from people than a regular 370z, and I'm the last person to care what other people think - it's just kinda cool.
Whether the Nismo is worth the premium over the base and sports package, that's all personal preference. If you're not looking to mod much and want a real eye catcher, the Nismo fits the bill perfectly. |
or just use photoshop..

the earlier Nismo's were built by Autech and were a special car. The current ones are just a trim level. That being said, I drove one on a supervised track and an autocross in Japan a year and a half ago, and was very impressed

They are both stupid re badged money grabs over the sport model. F the seats i want factory turbos.
|
Also none of the production nismos were ever built by autech only the 380rs's were. I have ripped an 06 350 nismo to the frame and counted the welds exact same car as an enthusiast only with the hr motor that became standard in 07. At least in 2006 that was enough of a justification to actually make it worth it.
Edit: i actually have a really funny storry about going to branson z fest where a guy who had an 06 nismo drove my car and then told me that even though my car was faster his had better feel thanks to his (non) seam welded chassis and (almost identical to a base) tunned by autech (again nope) nismo edition suspension. |
I would say that the new gen Nismo is an upgrade except for the spoiler. The wheels seem lighter but it ain't as pretty as it's older sibling. I could not find info to compare how much each weigh so it is conjecture. Nissan missed the perceived value of numbered Nismos. Clearly, their intention is not to have limited edition pieces. Hell they're pushing their bumpers for cheap. Much cheaper than the previous gen Nismos.

I love the new Nismo but personally not worth it for me. It's 12k more than the base with insignificant performance improvements. If money isn't a factor, I'd get the Nismo in a heart beat.

I like them, but not enough to trade my current Nismo for it. Not enough changed and too mild in the aggressive category IMO. If it had came stock with the Carbon Signal pieces on it with a more aggressive rear spoiler, I'd be on it in a heartbeat!!!
