Do not jump start the car. Remove the battery, place it on a charger.

Same thing happened to me last night. Was at the window suddenly heard a knocking noise went out the door to check on my car the lights were blinking rear and front with weird knocking noise coming from the front of the car tried unlocking the car with my key but nothing changed and the car won't open i removed the key and opened it manually but nothing changed was still blinking with knocking noise so eventually i opened the hood and removed the cables from the battery.

Did u get ur car fixed and what was the issue???

I dont think any of these people are around anymore, this thread was from 2009.
Charge your battery up and see how it goes.

Nothing like necro-ing an ancient thread. Put the battery on the charger, that will fix the issue. If the car won't start with the battery having been charged for about 3 hours, replace the battery. :tiphat:
