Need help...close to purchasing!

GREAT news...went to put my desposit down on the new 370z to find out that it had sold about an hour beforehand.

Salesman tried to play it off cool. We were starting to line up the delivery/return of the vehicles and the paperwork. Then he throws in, "oh, by the way, that white one sold this morning...but we can offer you the same deal on the black one we have in stock". I told him to forget it, I'll buy elsewhere.

I told him if I wanted black I would have bought the new Z that is 45 minutes from me...why would I drive over 7 hours???

the search continues....

You drove 7 hours and they sold the one you wanted? Damn that's messed up. I would be pissed.

and they can't/don't do a dealer search to see if they can find you one from another dealership???

They told me that they can...when I almost immediately asked that question. The salesman said that he talked to his manager and they found the same car a few states away. I asked if it could be around the same price as the car that was sold.

talked to the manager again...he said that I would have to be flexible on the price...

I said ok, what would we be looking at??

manager said he just doesn't see how that deal would be possible.

WHY even make that as an offer then???? lolol
