after reviewing those rims it came with it's no wonder the owner got into an accident.
so yea... go with the new. minus the faux engine noise. |
i also like to say i got a 2012 sport touring (only option vs base here in canuckistan) 9.5... lets say 10k mile for argument Z for 22.5k USD converted at todays $
sooooooooooooooooo definitely ripping you off. wouldn't pay more than 18k on the car with an accident on it. hell even 15k might be fair game. |
I paid 27k out the door, for a brand new Z base + sport.
So what? That means nothing right.... But the point is, look around! Now is a great time to buy a Z and you can find good deals for a new base sport for under 30k all day long. A sport/touring + tech in my area runs about 32-35k. |

That is crazy if that is the case . Around me, the CHEAPEST you will touch a sport touring (within 500 miles) is 40/41K! |
Used Z market is not worth it. Used prices are high, but new prices are low. I'm seeing used Z's with 20k miles posted for same price as brand new ones..
If you're buying, you really would be a fool to buy a used Z right now, unless it was a REALLY good deal and it made sense money wise. |

You can always buy from another state, thats the beauty of it ;) |

This is what I'm looking at. I don't think spending the extra money is worth it. Could I afford it? Yeah, but it seems unnecessary to increase the price for those few itens. I currently have a Q60s..got it new last year. I'm getting rid of that to get back into a Z..it just does not provide the same experience/love as a Z. So a G37 would be out of the question :ugh2: |

I priced my car as it sits today, and with 7500k its still worth more than I paid for it. The downfall, there was only 1 brilliant silver Z at this price. Not many options but, I just so happened to be a fan of the silver. It felt like a done deal before I even went to test drive it really. |

That is actually what I am looking at doing. The car is a few states away and he is going to ship it to me for free . Otherwise, there are only 2 Z's within about 75 miles of me. There is a '15 Sport, dealer is asking $34,879 and another dealer has a 2016 Base for 32~ something. I actually went and played around with the Base on Saturday to see what I thought of the new radio. Surprisingly it is pretty decent! I think it has made leaps and bounds compared to the old base model radios. :shakes head: |

Well, the fact that the '14 Touring Sport has an accident history would change everything for me that I said about getting it. Personally, I would still look for a '14 or newer Touring Sport. When I was looking, I passed right over the ads for anything that specified "base", and lasered in on Touring and Nismo only. But as I said, I'm biased

get the new one..
you can get those concave convex whatever wheels you like anytime later and wrap them with tires which is much better than nitto backup camera?? seriously?? I drove a 350z for 4 years and 370z for 4+ years and never feel the need of a camera... especially with a chic on the passenger seat... c'mon, drive like a man and forget about those aids... used car... you never know what problem do they have and how did the previous owner torture it.... maybe that's why he/she has to sell it so quickly... Get The New One... |

GREAT news...went to put my desposit down on the new 370z to find out that it had sold about an hour beforehand.
Salesman tried to play it off cool. We were starting to line up the delivery/return of the vehicles and the paperwork. Then he throws in, "oh, by the way, that white one sold this morning...but we can offer you the same deal on the black one we have in stock". I told him to forget it, I'll buy elsewhere. :shakes head: I told him if I wanted black I would have bought the new Z that is 45 minutes from me...why would I drive over 7 hours??? the search continues.... |
You drove 7 hours to the dealership and they sold it out from under you?!? WTF!! I would be pissed and speaking with the GM before leaving.
Or did you drive 7 hours to the dealer without confirming the car's availability? |

2014, no questions asked:
#1: New cars are for suckers in terms of depreciation, especially a sports car, gas guzzler, 2 seater that can carry no more than a few groceries... #2 APR on loans depending on terms should be no more than 3% if you have good credit. The difference you'll be paying on interest FAR OUT WEIGHTS the cost of all the additional features you'll be getting on the 2014 #3 13K miles is a joke on a car this well built.. its practically at 0 miles in my opinion #4 I always ask people this question...once the glamour and glitz have gone away of a "base" new car you don't want to pull up next to a guy with all the options you could have and then say to yourself....f_ck. Trust me i was there with my first Z. Loved it to death but did wish for all the options once I had it for a few months Always keep this in mind when shopping for what you WANT..."Price is only an issue in the absence of value" Good luck! |

talked to the manager again...he said that I would have to be flexible on the price... I said ok, what would we be looking at?? manager said he just doesn't see how that deal would be possible. :icon14: WHY even make that as an offer then???? lolol |

Still in the process of trying to decide and find one :ugh2: But I do love how a few of the members on here (that drive Touring/Touring Sport, mind you) tell me to go with the Base Sport, and that a true enthusiast doesn't need all of the extras. :stirthepot: :inoutroflpuke: |
why even entertain them?
when i went to see the first car they would NOT budge on the price. i told him you're asking too much and it won't sell. 'but it's a rare colour (red) and a sports coupe' said the guy. 'we're taking it to a dealer auction this weekend and will be getting very close to our asking price' lol... right away i knew he was bullshitting because i called my buddies and they said there were none they were aware of. a week later after i got my current he called me and i said i got a better, less milaege, lesser price, newer model z. it sat on the lot for months. tl;dr fuk them. go get to another dealership. oh and patience is key. YOU are in control. remember that. |
canada only had 2 options. base or touring for my model year.
they did eventually add a 'tech' option add on... they dont even offer the automatic nismo in canada. maybe you can order it but last time i checked it wasn't in the optioning package. |
