Let me ask this, does an american made car have EVERYTHING on it made in America? Im talking even the plastic and metal and all. Or is some of the material imported? I really dont know the answer to this.

Besides I spent 21 yrs. serving for my right to purchase what I want in this free country.

.

There is really no such thing as a 100% "made in America" car. All manufcturers are required to list the US Vs. imported parts content on the window sticker. For instance, most Chevy's are composed of 15-40% foreign parts content. Many so called "foreign" brands made in America have a higher US content...

"Even the cop cars are made out side the U.S.".

The current Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is built in Canada.

GM's Chevrolet Caprice PPV, which is set to compete against Ford's Police Interceptor, will be imported from Australia.

Ford announces planned replacement for Crown Victoria - Nov. 13, 2009

Can you imagine some old man trying to use that set up? My dad still can't program his VCR. He'd have sold that monstrosity by the end of the week out of sheer frustration.... On the up side you'd have lots to play with as a passenger on a long trip....

I’ll take age and guile over youth and enthusiasm every time. :icon23::bowrofl:

If only they knew, but then again they wouldn't understand.

I was thinking exactly the same thing... Even the pop-out screen is G35-esq. The entire styling has been completely changed for Cadillac over the past couple years because everyone was complaining about how crappy the interior is.

Not all Vette guys! I know my Z06 has parts from all over. It was assembled here in the U.S. and the motor was made here as well. But PLENTY of parts on my car were made elsewhere. I consider any car that is 50% or more made here in the U.S. is an American car, which includes Toyotas! LOL

That's exactly right. But most American cars are assembled outside of the U.S. for cost reasons as well. But definitely, imports and domestics all share parts from companies like AC Delco, Denso, and many off-shore companies.

For some reason, the least educated people are the ones that are so anti-import. They're usually the first to say "All American" but don't realize that those Nike's they're wearing were made offshore. They're also the idiots that buy SUVs just because they're big. LOL You'd think being smarter than them would make you feel better about yourself, but you just get more frustrated instead.

I can't stand hicks. I'd love to export them to an island like the UK did with their criminals, but then we'd be even more unsafe because they'd start a nation based on war and greed... (Come to think of it, that sounds really familiar.)
