The power is definitely an incredible feeling, but it's in the corners that i realize what a true sports car the Z is.

mustang was considered a 'sports car' at one point? :ugh:

Hang in there jcast, new Q60 coming out next year with 400 hp, so new Z may follow the year after.

Yeah, horsepower might be there but if you like turning a boat in the corners at 20 miles an hour the mustang is great. That's why I ***king love my Z. I've had her for about 6 months now as a daily driver and I drive her 150+ miles a day and not everyday do I not get in my car and tell her I love her and snuggle into her seat. Just the other day I took a curve on the sierra highway going at 80 miles an hour and I just could not get the grin outta my face.

And the reliability is incredible to me for such a sports car. I was planning on getting the new revamped mustang but once I test drove the Z I just fell in love.

My friend picked up a fully loaded 15 GT, performance pack, etc. pretty good deal, about $41k OTD a few months ago. While the power is intoxicating it lacks that connection in the hands. Not that it doesn't handle well. It does. It just doesn't communicate to you "let's have some fun with this." Even my Genny feels more involved which is a shadow of what my 370 was.

Edit: And he's coming from a 2011 Mustang V6 automatic. I tell him constantly I'm proud that his balls finally dropped and to start modding.

Well if you knew the true definition of a sports car you would've never made that horrible decision in the first place.

:iagree:

The mod factor is IMO the most important area where the 'stangs have us beat. The advantage of a car that everybody and their brother owns is that you have a million options and most of them are relatively cheap and easy to do. I've been finding that for every aftermarket Z part out there there are 10 corresponding Mustang parts and they're usually about half the cost.:ugh2:

This was the biggest shock to me when I traded my GT for my Z last year and started modding. Don't get me wrong; I don't regret my decision for a second, but you definitely have to pay more to play more with the Z.

I've been missing my Z like crazy. I traded in for a new Q60s last year. It is a very nice car, but it just doesn't have the character/personality a Z has. I always tell people that I love my Infiniti but it is almost boring to drive with all of the luxury.
It is plenty quick but it just doesn't have the raw sports car attitude that we all love. The redesigned Q60 should be coming out this summer...so hopefully I like that otherwise I will probably buy another Z :icon17:

Why would you get the "concept" Q60 when you could just wait for the new iteration of the Z? The new Z would probably have the turbo V6. I like that the Z doesn't have all the luxuries the Infiniti brand has because then I would be distracted too much.
