Seriously, it does. I remember flying around an interchange from one freeway to another, noticed a motorbike cop on the freeway I was merging into and threw it into neutral to quiet the car (as most 6MT with non-SRM do...) and it blipped the throttle to 6200 and got the cops attention. :icon17:

I paced him enough so that we were doing the speed limit and got the Mutumbo finger-wag (no, no, no!) as he exited the freeway. :icon17: :icon17:

So SRM did the opposite and almost got me in trouble!

If you're at low RPM (say, cruising in 6th) and shift to neutral, usually it won't blip though.

That being said, I hate that the SRM does that when shifting to neutral, it's almost embarrassing. People think you're revving at them. :icon17:

what? i just rev neutral to do it for ***** and giggles.


or if they're driving slow i'll slowly rev up my 1st gear so it gets louder and louder. then shift as fast as i can into 4th :bowrofl:

Though, there's this short tunnel on the way home that, if I have room, I will downshift and plow through just to hear myself. Never speeding though.

^^ Tunnel blasts are the best. I do this daily in any of my cars as my commute includes a tunnel leading to the hwy exit, there and back same route

Hahaha your all too cool xD I can't help it. It's too much fun to pop in neutral and by hand alone blip the revs for some neat downshift notes :)

i do it all the time... in fact i'll even slow down so i can sit in 2nd and then VROOOOOOOMMMMMM
