Not only the interior issue, but there's a reliability one, too. The Camaro already had a recall on some electrical system component. Bad omen. Great choice on the Z, dude. Congrats'!

Clicks, squeaks and rattles won't leave you stranded in the middle of the night, dude. A bad alternator or other electrical system component will. That's my logic. There are little nuisances, and then there are serious defects. Check the stats' out for reliability, Mighty Bo'.

My point is, in the end, that there are problems with every new car when they come out. Luckly I can view this from a programmers standpoint, and realize that they can be very complex machines, and problems can always crop up. |
I agree with you, dude. Toyota has the best reliability record in the whole auto industry, and they've had recalls, too. I'm more concerned with the seriousness of the problem (i.e. will it leave me "marooned" on a road at night?; will I have to keep taking it back for costly repairs once the warranty's over?, etc.). Along with Toyota, Honda, and Subaru, Nissan has racked up a pretty good reliability record. My '04.5 Touring Coupe's only needed--so far!--a new power window motor (driver's side). Given, she's got just 24k on her odometer, but one repair in six years ain't that bad. Greetings!
