Mine has done this a couple times lately; last dot comes on after driving a bit... That's after really packing tank & these tanks fill fast- so can't pack much afterwards. Good point... I'll have to see if it continues/ just over 60k on an 11'

I've had this happen a few times, Nissan fixed it under warranty both times. Sending unit if I remember right.

i suppose use the trip meter and watch how many physical miles you drove and calculate how many more miles you have left as your backup.

Due to the "right hand turn = no fuel" issue, I treat half a tank like a quarter tank... Meaning, if it's close or under I just go ahead and fill it up.
