Beware the Bear in The Air!
Well, the Colorado Highway Patrol, with their Air Patrol, got me on I-70 East of Denver last Tuesday. 87 in a 75 mph zone. My own fault. Interstates are always the focus of patrols, and I WAS going faster than the "tolerances ", usually 6 or 7 mph over the speed limit. So , I'll pay the fine and move on. PS: the Patrolman was very nice and professional. He said the airplane had been tracking me for a while??? Does that mean they honed in on the "Z" ?

Must be a stang owner. Pay it and move on
|
Doesn't seem like an efficient use of taxpayer resources unless the fine is HUGE.
|
Fine.
I don't understand Zbrah's response , so....
No, not huge, $169.50. I agree with the expenditures ??? Cheers |
I got a warning last Saturday for 77 in a 55... the cop said "nice car" and didn't fine me.
|
Warning
Wow! That's 22 over. Good for you!

Figuring the pilot's time, the time of the officer on the ground, the costs of running the plane and the patrol car, plus all administrative costs, and $169.50 doesn't seem to leave much for the state coffers. But at least they can claim some justification for keeping the plane in the air  |

Wait a minute! Aren't you supposed to be whining about how unfair the ticket is and pleading for help on beating it? :stirthepot:
