^^ Wow, I can't believer Nissan actually responded so quickly.
Wait, so is this rumor true? |
They must know we mad
|
I really hope they just kill the Z line instead of bastardizing it this way.

Sounds like its OVER for sports coupes. Read below!
Seems like everyone is adding SUV's of all sizes. Look at Honda & Lincoln. That's another reason I bought the Z now, because I figured the next one would by a 4 cylinder hybrid or eliminated. As a Honda fan, I'm disgusted with Honda's lack of sports cars. More articles: Nissan to scrap 370Z, replace with shock SUV - motoring.com.au Report: Nissan to unveil SUV successor to 370Z Designer Shiro Nakamura: "Z is made not necessarily to be a pure sports car,"!!! "Because the original 240Z is not really a pure sports car, it's more like... lifestyle, and trendy"! "Z is not a pure sports car - GT-R is a pure sports car, performance is number one - but for Z, not necessarily is performance number one." “We need to take another path. I feel Z needs more revolution than evolution.” 1.6-litre turbo! "350Z, 370Z, I don't think the next one will be 390Z. It's not growing, it's already big enough. I don't think we should go any higher, maybe go backwards." |
If this is true, then I will keep my current 370z forever. Resale values will go up. Crossover? Really? This is a disgrace to Z heritage.

they going to call it Zuke?
:ugh2: |
i hope they don't make it look like the velocitaraptor from hyundai although the rumor mill has been strong in this one.
i ALMOST want to trade up for the new nismo except 3 problems. 1) artificial sound/dampening/engine pumping thru speakers 2) trading with very little equity 3) having to remove then re-install my stillen breathers meh not worth it. i'll just get a m2 for the next car or something lol |

Of all things the Z can become? It's an embarrassment to the sports car world. I suddenly respect Honda and Toyota for just killing their sports cars in the late 90's early 2000, instead of embarrassing and shaming their loyalists with this type of news. Maybe it's just a negative rumor to push customers into a Z before its too late? I dunno. But this is disgusting, nauseating and shameful. |
This is hilarious. This is like making a C7 Vette a RWD saloon car. Aint gonna happen. WAY too much history in the Z line.
|
40 years of Sports Car heritage with the Z. I just don't get it. I understand making it powerful and stealing sales from the GTR, but even at 400HP its not in GTR territory.
