It's not the car, it's the driver.

Why is the Audi TT never on the list for a 370Z comparison car?
|
I TT mine and still get my a$$ waxed by some few stangs and what not...but there is always someone faster and better. Really, for all the things you can do with a Z compared to other imports your are way ahead, performance and power per dollar.

Why is the Z slower than comparable cars?
Because you're comparing it to faster cars. Compare it to a slower one and see if it's faster THEN?! :roflpuke2: :stirthepot: |

EDIT: I realize the Porsches are not Front engine, but other factors are consistent  |
As far as I can tell, all the cars that are faster than the Z (and in the same price range) don't handle near as well. If you want a straight-line drag car, buy one of the hyper-horsepowered Challenger/Mustang/Camaros. If you want a car that can carve a corner (and still do a respectable job in the quarter), get a Z. YMMV

The z34 wasn't designed for 0-60 time or straights. It was built for tracks and circuits. I've come to terms with the car not being "fast" a month after I took her home from the dealership. She's quick and can take a corner very aggressively. Are there other cars faster than the z? well yeah but try taking them into a corner with the Z and watch the Z overtake and pull away.

People seem to want to compare the 370Z (Roadster) to the Porsche Boxter
Really??? 370Z vs. Boxster 4 cylinder What do you think (know) would happen in a real test vs the Porsche??:eekdance: |
