the highest mileage car i owned was my rsx-s at 104,xxx and it had no problems.

my dad has a 99 toyota rav 4 with 250,000 miles and it's still going. he changed the oil ever 2,500-3,000 miles.

i personally think how much you take care of your car is how much it will take care of you.

My first one didn't go out till I was 150k about...the next one that went out not long after was covered due to the first one. combined with ship times to Canada and I can have my car down while I wait for parts. That being said if I was going to keep this car for ever I would order one and have it ready to go.

see that's crazy. then you have someone whose csc went out at like 15k. it's just mind boggling to me that some will go out so soon and others last a while

lol i did half your mileage in literally 1 year of ownership... then again you have mor toys to play with

but if i had to chose the replacement... it'd be the chaepest one to source. as both options seem to be viable alternatives.

on another note though... has anyone have a failed HDCSC?

the external one you dont need to drop the tranny to do the replacement if it ever failed again. that's a huge delta on labor cost. aka free :icon17:
i think my rc cars are catching up to my Z's milage.. :ugh:

Well my stock one lasted 98k. Not too bad. However I did replace it with Joe's Z speed CSC because of the horror stories on this forum lol.

especially for you, i'd keep the z then. such a waste selling the car after you fixed all the weak links. :)

plus those are highway miles right? probably in WAAAAY better condition than say a granma driven 5min trip car with super low miles. :ugh:

old people shouldn't be allowed to drive. they see you and still merge into you. they hear you honking your horn and everything, but thug life.

yeh, i know they want to be out and about like the rest of us, but they should use their retired community shuttle imo too. for their own safety and ours.

another reason why i hate motoring my Z during 'geezer hour' which is weekdays 9:15am to 11:30am..

Yeah, it's so random, my next one only lasted 8k. lol damn thing. But it was due to a higher pressure clutch kit.

As far as I know, the HD CSC has only failed when paired with a Spec clutch.
