need some friendly advise> please provide opinion

So im just about to place an order with nissan. I cant actually decide on 3 colors and i need some honest advice and help from people who currently own these colors. keep in mind that i am comming from a carribean blue G35

1. RED

I would love to own this car in red but i have seen a few in showrooms and it looks like its very easy to see swirl marks on that color. Also ive seen and heared that red can fade over time because its just such a bright color. but bottom line is i think its a great color for a sports car.

2. Grey

Now this color i know is safe. Its not too light or dark and its easy to keep clean. AND in CANADA its one of the very few colors that we can order with the orange interior which woud be awsome! My concern about this color is that it can get boring and i guess it just doesnt do justice for this type of car?? correct me if im wrong please. I think that getting the Z in this color would just make me blend in with every other car on the road?

3. White

I love white cars, especially Pearl white. Does this color really suite this car?? . My problem with the white is that it is only available with the frost interior in canada which i find to be too light. and would get dirty way to fast.. correct me if im wrong. Also i dont know if its my eyes playing tricks on me but ive seen white 370's in person and it looks as though when you stare at the back bumper and the rocker panel that it really looks like a different shade of white.. the paint looks off?? I think that would bother me you can even notice it in some of the pictures posted on this forum??

Thanks very much for any help provided. I am worried that i will just give up with deciding and guessing and go for grey just to be safe.

You do have to be careful with swirlies on a red car. Ask me how I know :icon14:

You just keep away from da Chicane Yellows...they are mine all mine

kdo2milger 10-25-2009 12:11 PM

honestly you wont go wrong with any of those colors...

i have the red, and as long as you keep it waxed you shouldnt have any issues with swirls...same as black, just take care of it...

whites an awesome color in person, pictures dont do it justice...

Black and PG definitely take the best pictures. White and Red look SOOO much better in person.

Mine is red as well, and the swirl marks are a bit of an issue, but like K says above, keep it waxed and its fine. IMHO, Red is the definitive sports car color, always has been, it definitely catches the eye.

White def suits the car, but I agree with you on the frost interior. Would get very dirty if this is your daily driver. My paint matches up perfectly on all body panels no matter what the lighting.

I love the contrast of the frost interior, but fear what it would look like after a year or so of daily use. So, that might nix the white, though I think the Z is one of the few white cars I could really love. It simply looks great in white.

Ditto red. It's a big statement. I think the Z looks killer in red. Red is a more youthful expression of the Z.

Platinum Graphite is my choice for a sophisticated look -- a bit more refined, perhaps, than the other two. I love how the silver and black accents on the car work with the gunmetal gray paint. Then, by adding the Persimmon interior, you've recaptured some of the youthful feel the Z exudes so well. PG for the win/win.

greatly said.

The Frost interior would probably kill me. Reason is it will be a daily driver except for some harsh winter months. im not a dirty person at all but the effort to just keep it looking like frost is probably great.

"All Sports cars are RED"

As the old saying goes "All Sports cars are RED". As you can see I have the Red Z. My old Pre-ordered 03 350 was Red and I had it for almost 7 years with no issues on fading. When waxing by hand you do not need to worry about swirl marks on the Red either. I also had the frost interior in the 350 and loved it. So there was no need to worry about the frost interior when I ordered the 370 which has the frost.

SO, yes I love the RED and with the frost interior:)

I've never like red on any car. To me, it's just too feminine (sorry to all you red 370 owners). Besides, cops keep a special eye out for red sports car from what I hear.

I've never liked white cars either. When I was growing up, my parents mostly bought white cars. Even when it came time for me to get a car, they insisted on it being white. So for me not like white cars is more of a rebellion thing. I do admit, the Nismo in white looks soooo clean and fresh.

The gray or PG would be my choice of color. It's a great color that you won't get sick of for a long time or if ever.

I have a brilliant silver 370. It's not the greatest color in the world or my absolute favorite, but it's a color that I won't get sick of. It is a color that can be kept clean pretty easily.

You gotta ask yourself of any color, would you get sick of it within a year? That's the key.

No Monterey Blue? :ban: :icon17:

Seriously, you can't go wrong with any color. But my initial choice was White and then PG. Then out of no where, I end up ordering Monterey Blue. So, I'd go with White if I were you.

Well right now like ive stated i have a carribean blue G35 coupe. for those of you who dont know the blue i have now is just as bright if not brighter then the blue for the 370z. i have had this for 3 years now and i am not sick of it at all. i think i might get sick and tired of silver or grey just because theres not much too it..

THanks for the input ppl

Any color is awesome in a 370. I like the white though as they make CF look good.
