09 370z touring syncrorev?

Hello everyone,

Would anyone know if the six speed 2009 370z touring come with synchrorev match? I look at the pic from the dealer and it has the rear spoiler and brembos so I'm assuming yes?

the z doesnt come with brembos. Im assuming you mean the akibono sport brakes. Does it have the 19" Rays wheels or 18" wheels? If its a touring/sport then it will have the rev match

Look for the S-Mode button on the right side of the shifter.

Yea I know where to look but the dealer took a bad photo and you can't see it due to the fact that the shifter is blocking the view.

Gerg 06-09-2015 12:51 PM

The only way to be ABSOLUTELY sure is to drive it.

Wheels can be upgraded.
Spoilers can be added.
The molding around the shifter could be switched out to have the button.
Car dealership salesmen can be mistaken (or even worse, lie).

When you fire it up, press the S-Mode button, so that it illuminates the little S on the tachometer to the upper right of the gear display. And, if it proceeds to match revs as you downshift, then you know beyond a doubt that it's got the SynchroRev Match. Everything else is a good indicator... but stranger things have happened.

Tell me about it. I called the nissan dealer that had it for sale and was told by the sales person that he asked his tech guys and said that synchrorev only comes on automatic 370z. At this point I just face palm my myself thinking what kind of tech do they have

mishuko 06-09-2015 12:58 PM

2 Attachment(s)
that is a sports package rim and brakes (i believe they changed from brembo's to akebono's from 12-13, loss of fangs, new euro tuned suspension blablabla)

another way to determine is look at the cluster. in the direct centre is a circle which will show the gear. there will bea semi circle thats right next to it that would light up with 'S'

look at the two pics attached

Sounds like a good first hand look is needed.

Dealerships are ridiculous sometimes in how little they know about their own vehicles. As a funny example, my father bought a Nissan Leaf (totally electric), and the sales guy honestly tried to help my dad schedule his first oil change.

We all had a good laugh about that. Right before switching to a different sales guy.

mishuko 06-09-2015 01:04 PM

although my previous post was comparing a manual to automatic cluster... but if you push the button and the 'S' doesn't pop up, it doesn't have the sports package and was just option'd with the rims+brakes.

hold the s-mode button and the 'S' should turn off. only way to check this is to sit in the car and turn it on though...

I was thinking maybe I can get some feedback on it before I actually go see the car. Don't want to waste time if it doesn't have it.

sharigan 06-09-2015 01:15 PM

I thought you can't get the upgraded brakes and the rays 19 on a 09 370z unless you have the sport package? I have seen a 2011 touring version that has the regular wheel and no upgraded brakes. That for sure didn't have the rev match.

Do they have any pics of the dash or shifter posted online? If not, call the dealership and see if they would provide you with some. Specifically one of the S-Mode button near the shifter and one of the dash with the car on and S-Mode engaged as shown in Mishuko's post.

It looks like a no navigation sport touring to me. Only sixteen thousand miles is super sexy! you might be able to get him down below 22k though. I'm in one of those people that would really have to look at the paint and of course drive it before I pay top dollar.

Sent from my Nexus 6

Everything from those pics is saying Sports Package so I'm pretty sure it has SRM. Head down and give it a test drive.

I'm curious as to what that actually covers, but "Lifetime Warranty" has always been one of my favorite word groupings.

Looks like it's worth a test drive or eight.

Akebono has been standard on the sport package since 09

mishuko 06-09-2015 02:56 PM

the car looks to be in fairly good condition based on the year and mileage and pictures... but at this point the best would be to actually go an see it in person. check the paint for differences in color, rims for curb rash, engine compartments (most importantly the clutch/brake fluids), and so on.

can't say for sure if the 09' only had sports package as the packages offered in canadia are completely different than the states.

sharigan 06-09-2015 03:01 PM

Awsome thanks everyone. Yea Im most very likely to go try it out than. Down below is what I'm trading in.

Yea for sure. I already called and confirm about the key lock seloniod issue because for that particular year it was a commen problem. I was told it was replace n fix the the previous owner drove it like 2,500 miles a year. Awsomeness :happydance:

OP, the real way to know if the car has SRM is if you actually drive it, as others stated, anyone can swap parts out.

btw, ur Z an 07 or 08? i traded my 07 HR for an 09 touring/sports/navi. the few things i miss from the 350Z:

1. stock exhaust note is deeper than 370Z.
2. rear windshield wiper.
3. rear visibility of 350Z, as the rear quarter panel window on the 370Z is useless and cant see out of it.
4. open hatch button on key fob.
5. digital speedo

Don't assume anything. I just brought a used 2015 370z (turned in after 2 months)and the dealer's advertising (not a Nissan dealer) advertised it was a sport model (car had the rear spoiler, part of my assumption it was a Sport). Ask 100s of questions of the dealer when it comes to used car especially since you're not looking at original factory sticker.

so your z has or doesnt have the sports package?

EDIT: nevermind, just saw your other updated thread. damn, i am sorry to hear what happened on your deal.

My 350z is a 2008 six speed grand Touring with NAV. I just noticed when you mention that the 370z didn't have a rear windshield wiper. Sucks. And Yea I've heard about the rear window panel being useless but I'm assuming tht since I'm use to the 350z that the 370z wouldn't be a problem?

Well I'm assuming that it would be the sport because of the stock sport brakes and wheel?

370 looks better than the 350. Unless you photoshop it.

kenchan 06-17-2015 09:50 AM

lol'ed..

njobe89 06-17-2015 10:11 AM

how come people complain about the rear window saying it's useless, they can't see anything out from it.

i see perfectly fine from mine. maybe it's the way i sit or something, but i have no problems with it. only thing i have a problem with are those 18 wheeler side mirrors.

i drive my dd most of the time so when i get into my z, even after 6yrs, i still cant confidently tell where the butt ends while backing up. i rely on my camera. in real tight space i just ask my kid to spot me.

with the 350z, i could actually see the rear panel window and see out of it. with the 370z, depending on how i position the passenger seat, the head rest blocks it. even if i do see the window, its hard to see out of it bc of the angle. also, the window is smaller than the 350z

There's nothing wrong with it. Its actually rare to even come across an 08 grand touring six speed where I live. All I seen are the DE models and one other nismo.

Yea it really depends on how you sit. Even for the 350z sometimes the head rest is blocking the way so what do I do "CHANGE LANE LIKE A BOSS" hahaha

Does the 09 370z touring + sport + base have a rear camera?
