You're welcome to draw your own conclusion. Maybe I didn't word my thought properly enough when I wrote "Well I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks it's ridiculous"

I do think it's ridiculous that companies charge $250+ for a simple shift knob, but if people want to pay it, that's their prerogative.

I am with you. I wouldn't do it, but if someone wants to, it's their choice.

I am very thrilled with my "Fat Boy".

FWIW and somewhat related to the thread. The Fat Boy knobs are in stock. I dunno how often they go out of stock, but I'd been checking on and off for like 4-5 months.

GrafiXpressions - Express yourself in vinyl form!...

I got mine from the classified section for $60 shipped.

This stuff cracks me up, people will always buy novelty items. Come on now...their are probably a few people on here that have paid for someone's autograph, I don't understand that but to each there own. And yes I have a TK knob and it's sitting on a shelf in my garage as I like my TWM 7" Competition knob better. I will part with TK knob when DE gets rid of his and the price climbs to $100,000,000.

TerribleONE 06-09-2015 01:20 PM

A lot of the argument is coming from a guy with Bride seats, which some people find just as ridiculous as the TK knob.. I have both so I guess that makes me a total JDM fan boi

We're getting there, lol

Because of me, used ones now sell for more than new ones used to cost

onzedge 06-09-2015 04:05 PM

I use only Tumi products for luggage, laptop bag/brief case, etc. My 22" Tumi Alpha II carry-on cost $645.00. I see no problem with a 200+ dollar shift knob. Besides, the Tommy Kaira has the turtle. I like the turtle. It makes me happy.

you might as well wanna ask why some people spend $400k on a car....

same as a $5k one, they both have four tires and a steering wheel... and doors...

I cannot help but agree with your sentiments. Safe travels to you, my friend.

Hotrodz 06-09-2015 05:49 PM

Hey Clifford, why did the Mad Men Posse travel to a car show in SoCal to see somebody else's car from Canada? We all could have got turtle knobs instead!

I hope all is well with you my brother.
