What happened to the paddle shifters on 2015 base
Today I traded my black 2012 with aero kit automatic with paddle shifters, for a silver 2015 with aero kit and automatic. i was 10 miles from the dealer when i realized it did not have paddle shifters. Also I do not see the overdrive anymore either.
Not a big deal, I was just wondering what year that became an option for base? I like the bluetooth, cool black chrome wheels and the LED lights, and will probably get more use out of the bluetooth than paddle shifters anyway, so still have a smile on my face. |

They got a trade in for Bluetooth, and dark wheels.

Also, what do you mean by overdrive? |
Is it a 'Z'?

wats a boxy nut? :ugh:

Wow. Surprised to hear this. I actually like the base Z with the dark 18's, no wing, and cheap price. But the lack of paddles kind of stinks.

The paddle shifters are AWESOME ...i wonder why they would cut them in 2015....unless this is JUST the base

Typical Nissan. They cheap out on base models in later years
|
at least they kept the steering wheel.. :ugh:

people look for deals and most people don't like it when prices go up. if nissan kept all the features that it came with on the older models PLUS the new features on the newer models, chances are, prices would go up. for example, the pre-2012 models didn't come with a factory oil cooler, nor the LED lights on the front bumper, and other features that i am not aware of for the post 2012 models. equilibrium. |

When the s14 240sx base model first came out it had tilt wheel, an indoor trunk and fuel release lever. In the 97-98 models they only came with a fuel release lever no trunk release lever and no tilt steering wheel.

Um, these are features, not technology

Relax Tampax, all I'm saying is that Nissan tends to load up features in their cars in the beginning years of a car's life cycle and they cheap out towards the end, which makes complete sense. They do that to make the car more of an attractive value to up sales in the beginning to recover costs.
Who put sand up your vajayjyay? |

anyways, in what regards what do you mean "cheap out"? there are certain features the earlier models came with that the later models don't and vice versa, depending on the model, but just bc certain features aren't available doesn't mean it's been "cheaped out". |
Oh Good Gosh!
Some of you guys are, like, really ready to jump on someone's post. Grow up.

So the base doesn't come with the SRM, does that mean no engine braking with that awesome downshift?

for 6mt, base does not have SRM, unless you opt for the sports package. for 7at, the auto's don't come with SRM, as they don't have synchros. however, the base does come with rev-match downshift, just no paddles. you would have to use the shift lever. |
