Infiniti G37 Sport Brakes will they FIT our 370z?

Hey guys I was wondering if the Infiniti G37 sport brakes will fit the 370z? and vice versa?

I have someone I know that may want to sell his sport brakes to me and swap my base brakes onto his? (He doesnt drive his very often and is getting BBK very soon.

Are there any special brackets or other items that I may need for the swap?

it would be a direct swap. The only difference is that his are silver and say infiniti. Other than that, they are identical systems.

Should bolt right up, the hardware and brackets are identical.

Why not just wait until he gets his BBK and do the swap then? Otherwise he has to install brakes on his car twice.

How about you buy my sport brakes... they are up for sale. I want $1300 for them and that includes discs and all.

Mike same thing goes for the base brakes? I can just swap my base setup on his? Sounds easy enough

not sure about the lines, but yes, your stock ones should bolt right on to his.

If you have stock rims on your base, I'd be concered about the clearence between caliper and rim.

True, that shouldnt be a problem since they are aftermarket

Nogood - I would assume the length size be different due to the car but I the size of the line going to the brake setup should be the same.

The lines are different but the fittings should be the same. If the lines are left in place and simply disconnected at the caliper then you should be good.

This info is based on the G37 but should be the same for the 370z.
If you have the non-sport brakes and want to upgrade to the sport brakes. You will need new lines because the non-sport lines do NOT connect to the calipers directly and has some different adapter piece. The sport brake lines connect to the sport calipers directly. This is from someone who actually tried it out.

I havent ever actually seen the non sport brakes connections, but, if they are as I suspect, and have a banjo bolt fitting, the sport brakes do not.

What that means is you can put the sport brakes on the non sport car, but not vice versa. I have banjo fittings on my car with the brembos, and when I go back to sport brakes for car show stuff, the banjo fittings work fine.

I actually messed up a thread on one of my brembos and am now running brake lines from a corvette on my car. Fortunately, I have a brake caliper oriented business, and tons of spare parts lying around.

Just digging up this old thread as i didn't want to start a new one...

I just wanted clarification, i asked this ebay seller if these brakes were the same as 370z Akebono's and he said they would not fit. What are your thoughts?
