Hey, why not ask the insurance company to give you a raise while you're at it.
I'm just worried about wearing the tires unevenly for starters and the safety concerns of running a different set. Obviously if there are no safety concerns, then I would not expect them to replace it.

As far as the concern of it being my fault, I have a police report written but unfortunately no witnesses. There was a construction site near by that I went to ask if anyone saw the other guy's truck/license plate but they said no one even knew what happened since they were all working.

but u only had the car one week? tires are like new? then u probably wont be able to tell the difference getting new tires on one side. it's not like tires wear evenly on 4 corners.

cars driven in the US have slightly more left tire wear vs right... cause you do more right turns. cars driven in japan are exact opposite.

I just assumed his Z wasn't brand new since it is a 2013.

But if they are tires with one week of driving, then I agree there's no need to replace the undamaged ones.

They might consider this to be your fault without any evidence. I assume you didn't get the plate number?

That's what uninsured motorist coverage is for. It doesn't affect your rates. Also, he is only having to pay a $250 deductible under the uninsured motorist coverage instead of his normal $1000 deductible.

Unfortunately, no. I did get a description of the vehicle, though and the direction it was headed when I made the police report. We'll see what happens. Really no way any one can "run into a curb" on a straight away.

I did ask about the uninsured motorist claim but they are stating because there was no physical contact, they cannot claim it that way, however, it is still being filed as a no-fault claim.

Uninsured Motorist coverage is only applicable if the other party is at fault and without insurance or under-insured.

Be sure to have as much info as possible to support your case. They will try to pin it on you to recover the cost of the repair.

Good luck...

It's understandable that an uninsured motorist claim is not being applied in your situation. I believe Texas does not have no-fault insurance laws, so I don't understand what it means when the insurance company will file as a no-fault claim. I suspect in the end, your rates will go up.
