What a line! That's like saying "I highly recommend not driving your car if you don't want to put miles on it." Thanks, Captain Obvious :bowrofl:

:rofl2: don't worry about that, lol.

as far as the altima goes. I'm in Texas and don't need anything special for winter, I'm just looking for something I can take to work on my 65 mile round trip. Not to mention I'm going to probably want something with 4 seats fairly soon....

zZSportZz 10-21-2009 08:30 AM

I'm getting close!! Just flipped 8k...bought the car in March :)

Lol yeah, what I typed does sound stupid. What I meant is I highly recommend it to keep wear and tear down from the weather, etc. (for those who plan on not getting rid of it when the next Z comes along in about 5 years).

I have a simple Sony point and shoot. I turned the Flash off, turned on Macro, hold the camera VERY steady and took the shot. NO EDIT whatsoever.

That's 2+ years: 18 641.1358 miles = 30K km

The brakes were installed today and I stopped by the shop to see. The clearance of the calipers and the spokes were less than a centimeter.. :happydance:

Maybe tomorrow it will be ready to come home. :ugh2:

gumpy 04-19-2010 11:58 PM

i took a picture of mine at 69km =)

trent1331 05-11-2010 06:22 PM

I joined the 10k mile club today, perhaps the youngest member?

Zsteve 05-11-2010 06:31 PM

I think I hit 10K at 3 months. 18K now in 9 months.

AC Guy 05-11-2010 07:02 PM

My 370Z is almost 14 months old and I just hit 15k earlier this week. My beater died, and my girlfriend doesn't like me racking up the miles on her newly painted '97 Del Sol. Even though I savor every second behind the wheel; driving the beater made me really appreciate the time behind the wheel....plus I could keep the cover on, and only drive it in nice weather. Now it's my daily driver. My goal was 8-10k a year with the intent of trading it in for a new 370z with 40k after being paid off (4 year loan). I usually average about about 18k miles a year in total driving. I must get a new beater...but oil cooler, new rubber, race helmet, and track time costs about the equivalent of a beater for me. Guess I'll have to wait on the beater for little while longer!

AK370Z 04-07-2011 03:19 AM

Hit 33,000 miles already

http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC05222.jpg

Yup! I have been meaning to post this. Crossed 33,000 miles already and I have JUST celebrated 2 year anniversary of the Z (on March 31st). I drive a lot but I enjoy driving this car so much! I had no clue I already racked up 33,000 miles on this Z. 33,000 miles and I had made ONLY 1 trip to the dealer! (and that's for my stupidity! I over-torqued a wheel nut and broke a stud) . I have to say GREAT reliability from the car so far. I have used Redline Synthetic since 3600 miles and car runs like the way it left factory!

Thank you Nissan for making this awesome car and continuing the Z heritage!

Btw, love the dash gauges
http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...m/DSC05220.jpg

So, who else in the "high mileage" club?

doublea2527 04-07-2011 05:41 AM

I just hit 15k about a week ago after a trip to Florida. Had mine a year now. Glad to hear that you haven't had any problems so far.

theDreamer 04-07-2011 08:54 AM

About to tick over 30k probably this week, sitting at 299xx right now.

USMCASA 04-07-2011 09:08 AM

i'm at 59,000 soon to be 60k probably some time next week. its for driving, not lookin' at. picked it up new with 56 miles on it

flashburn 04-07-2011 09:21 AM

I'm at about 27K right now. I bought it at the end of October, '09, but I didn't drive it as a Daily Driver until January 2010.

As others have said, it's meant to be driven! It's not like this is some limited production $50K+ sports car, it's a ~$30K mass production sports car. Only reason I'd think about getting another car as a DD is if I made the car more track oriented (replaced seats, harness, weight reduction, etc). I doubt I'll do that for a long time, if ever though. I think my most likely scenario is getting a slightly cheaper car as a DD (or keeping the Z) and a more expensive track beast.

Red__Zed 04-07-2011 09:43 AM

Dang, makes me feel less bad about 7k.

I hit 5000 last week so I must feel even less bad. :bowrofl: If I had 59,000 miles I'd still be feeling great about all the good fun I've had.
