If the next Z looked similar to this
1 Attachment(s)
I was browsing the web today looking for my project car as my birthday present to my self. Looking for a 1971 1972 240Z, I came across a picture of a concept Z that looks really nice. If This was out and it looked similar I would think about getting it.
I tried to credit the person/team who drew his but not sure who so I just leave it as is. |
Polish designer Iacoski.

If this is what a Z would have looked like in 2014, I'd be driving something else.
|
After enough beers it may start to look good but you'd likely get pulled over for DUI
jk it still wouldnt look good. |
WTF really..... I thought it was a nice concept Z. I would think about it I really like it.

from the side I like it but the front looks like an SLS merc. I know they were going for a GT-R front end but it morphed more towards the SLS to me.
I like where their head is at though. the side and rear look more of a throwback to the 240/260 |
front end looks very BMWish to me :twocents:
Not that I dislike it. I just never get a good feel for concepts because they rarely have more than one or two perspectives. |
I like how the Fairlady emblem, fender vents, and detail at the bottom of the door create a little bit of a Z shape from that perspective.
|
Agree on the SLS look due to headlights. But I get that he intended for it to look more like the old datsun headlights. I think the issue is with proportions. Front end looks super heavy due to the square jaw of the thing. The 240z had a break in the middle to reduce visual weight. This concept could have used a bit of that.

I see a s2000
|
wtf, are we back to 2010 or something?
|
With only one angle, it's hard to get a true picture but I'm not a fan of the front.
|
This render was done in 2008.

I also see S2000 from the front. I like the vintage fastback look though.
|
I did not know it was created in 2008, I just ran into it and thought it would be a good looking car. I know that most of it would not come to fruition and now that I know it was from 2008 I guess my dreams are busted. LOL
|
All the grills in the front are gaudy--too busy. Yeah, its silhouette too closely resembles the S30 Z. The idea of evolution is not about being 80, 90% or whatever like its predecessor, and then again, it's not about being radically different either.
Just my 2 cents. |
with the current Z, at least we got people asking "is that a porsche..??"
with that Z.... we gonna get asked "is that a mustang..??" :wtf2::wtf2: |

I would drive it in a heart beat. My most favorite Z's are the 1970 to 1978 Z's.
|
There's really nothing wrong with the car, the only thing I don't like about it is that the front is a bit too flat for me and the car looks overall pretty masculine. The silhouette of the Z has always had a pointed front end and this is lacking aspect makes me think of a Chrysler 300 or a Mustang.
I like the curves of the Z, giving meaning to the name Fairlady because she's just so damn sexy and I like my cars sexy... |
Its nice but too square lost the curve lines of the Z.
I think sponge bob would love the design. http://i1382.photobucket.com/albums/...pslxv9ixxq.jpg |
Def. an S2000

Flair the rear haunches a lil more.
Sharpen the back window a lil better. A lil more drama to the headlights... Make sure the front and rear spoiler pkg is a dramatic yet, super-tasteful option... And we have a winner in that concept. |
Looks like the gtr concept that came in 2007...
It looks horrible if you ask me especially the front, im glad the Z looks the way it does but do hope they improve for 2017 (new generation Z35) |
subscribed hahah!! BTW I like that concept that the guy draw but need more work...

With Nissan's new design language, I'm honestly a bit scared with what they'll come up with for the new Z. I saw the new Maxima at the New York Auto Show and was impressed with the level of detail, but the design is very polarizing. I really liked certain aspects, but some design elements just make you cringe a bit. Seeing as how Nissan usually tries to incorporate the same language throughout their line up, I really hope the new Z stands out on it's own. I don't know if you've seen this one, but Nissan did a pretty crappy job with their first "concept" of the Z's revival before the 350Z.
