where are the serious modders

This forum has become a very low quality forum.
Reason is... no modders beyond bolt ons.
Very few car club reps.
Mostly vendors and salesman making business selling parts.
(Which is good in a way but they need there own seperate section in the forum)
No laser timing done with mods. People mod and dyno but don't put there car on lasers so we can tell if they are truly seeing increased times on there bolt ons.
So without this info. We can't see who is making the best bolt ons.
Which makes bolt on modders info minimal beyond there opinion on how things sound.

If u r modding and are serious about it? Show yourselves here!
If u r planning on or have recently dropped in a turbo? Show yourselves here.

Pretty sad that the genesis coupe forum has already turboed n modded there 2.0's n 3.8's to 550hp n have laser timed numbers to match n all I hear in here is
" I just put on my exhaust n it sounds great!"
I have my Z on order n am lookin for some real info from real modders so when I get it I can make better informed decisions.
I remember as an rx racer in the 90's Z owners seemed to be a lot more serious bout racing n modding than what this forum produces. What the hell happened?????
Feels like this forum has a lot of former german car owners. :(

LMAO at the Chief, the 12-yr old Urban Cowboy.

If you want ricers, I'm sure you can find some. There's more to a car forum than just...ya know...inflating your e-peen with the latest dyno results. That comes too, I'm sure...just, ya know. Friendship with other like-minded folks. Seems to bring most of the older crowd back.

But, maybe I'm naive. Second opinion?

Red370 10-18-2009 11:18 AM

go join the genesis forum. I dont know WTF your idea of "heavily modded" is, but there are quite a few active members on this board with a mod list well over $10k, that to me is "heavily modded".

Why would you want to have a friendship with other like-minded folks? Wouldn't you rather be a troll? :stirthepot:

I think what pisses off Roka is that more posters here don't have purple lights installed on the rocker panels.

shumby 10-18-2009 11:28 AM

ya i think we will be better here without you.

Smallywood 10-18-2009 11:58 AM

I don't believe in modding my car...

SB350z 10-18-2009 11:58 AM

Omfg is this guy serious? :rofl2: lmfao. Why don't u show us your car and list your mods so that we can determine "how much of a big modder you are!" just to let you know, there are couple TT 370z very close to being done. But due to your lack of searching skill, you were not able to locate those threads. Don't you have homework to do that's due tomorrow? :stirthepot:

I think he fails to realize that the market is just now starting to produce the "heavy Moddified" equipment for the 370z. It takes time and research and development before they can chit it out. So what you have is what people can get. This makes me think that this guy cried alot as a baby because he wanted things NOW! probably still does.

Better to leave your post with the top question in the title and stop at that. The forum has many facets not just the topic you have brought up. Relax and find the goodness:tup:
