I worked for a dealership and we had a third party vendor that would come and do these sorts of things for our cars so I think it's pretty normal. The guys even did work for our employee's cars.

Go to a Cadillac dealership and ask them who does their touch up work. I had a friend in San Antonio that worked at the dealership and he had his touch up guy do my BMW (bike) after a tip over and you can hardly tell it was painted unless I pointed it out. It wasnt perfect but sure looked better than before.
