Ams vs amuse

Hey guys I've been doing allot of research lately and im interested in the ams body kit but some people are telling me it's a replica of the amuse and it's made cheaper some people are telling me it's the same I don't know who to believe should I go ahead and buy the AMS? I don't wanna buy something cheap and have fitment issues..

It is a replica, and you will most likely have fitment issues.

Save up for the real thing :twocents:

There is not much experience here with AMS. It is a replica made from a replica.

Replicas that we know fit well (similar to original) are Shine Auto, CarbonSignal, Aerojacket and Fly1.

This post might help.

Lots of good advice here. To put things in perspective. You will save money on the replica of the replica but will then spend much more on body work. So the smart thing is to save yourself unnecessary hassle and get a quality part first. Surpises with large body kits is not fun.

Not true with Shine Auto, CarbonSignal, Aerojacket and Fly1. They require about the same as the original.

Very true with Duraflex kit.

I'm confused because AMS full kit w/o wing is $1995 VIS 370Z Full AMS Body Kit & the same kit from shine auto is $1550 (cheaper & better?) Z34 370Z Spec-A Full Aero | Shine Auto Project so why is this a concern? :icon14:

:iagree: I've mentioned this before but I've been told of authentic amuse parts having quality issues.

From what I gather there are two kits that are called AMS, one is Duraflex AMS and one is VIS AMS. I am not sure about the quality of the VIS kit, but it looks the same as Amuse and the other replicas (as far as appearance). The Duraflex AMS has differences from the other kits visually (as I laid out in the link above) and does require a fair amount of body work to look good.

Thread has pretty much received the full wiki of answers and should probably be closed before its derailed with the "buy authentic crowd".

With that being said, google "authentic 370z vestito fitment issues" and then google "shine auto amuse fitment" and tell me which gets you more hits... Hint, authenticity fanatics wont enjoy the results.

There are also... 1000-10000 TIMES more replicas out there then authentic kits.

I'd love it if Bulletproof chimed in and told us the exact amount, lol
