Nismo tech was gonna cost me close to 50k including NY taxes which is the highest, 8.87%. when i look for car, i want it to be worth the price I'm paying for. i want all the goodies to come with it. heated seats is a plus, leather seats common, leather in a car makes the car, navi + bluetooth + bose audio and subwoofer in the trunk, amazing speaker, bass, its all worth it. power seats cause if I'm paying 50k. I WANT POWER SEATS. for example would u pay 60k for a car hat has 220hp ... you want to get the most out of your car right ? if your paying big bucks u want performance to match with it. i got performance and goodies. plus i paid 37k for my car brand new. well worth the price. i got a sports car with all the goodies. I'm a happy camper.

The person who writes the check is always right in this case, no justification required!!

Before the Nismo Tech package came along, you could upgrade to a Bose audio package in the Nismo and this was perhaps the worst possible OEM option ever devised; you got a 6 CD changer and a 3 month subscription to Sirius/XM for about $2,000. In the Nismo Tech, that extra money gets you an auto-dimming Homelink mirror (3 garage door / gate openers in 1), backup camera, navigation, DVD player. It's a little easier to justify that purchase - I did ;) But I genuinely don't see the appeal of power seats at all. They are useful in luxury cars when you have multiple drivers and memory for all of them, but that's not an issue for most Z drivers. You just set it once and forget it, heck I don't even need or care about power mirrors or windows for the same reason. |

I'm not aware of any CSC changes though. Considering launch control was re-introduced to the GT-R in 2012 with the limitation that it overheats the transmission after about 2 launches, I have to imagine Nissan thinks a lot of overheating issues are best solved aftermarket or simply ignored by putting the car into limp mode? :ugh2: That was basically the same problem it had when they decided to take it off the car in 2010, but then they re-introduced it without actually changing anything but their policy on the issue :icon17: |

I got the tech package because I can't stand how cheap the cubby and base stereo looks. Something that belongs in a Versa. I don't really care about heated seats because I don't drive the Z in the winter. I use it maybe 3 times a year. Also don't care about power seats because I'm the only one that drives it. I'd gladly give up both for the '15 recaro seats. If the current Nismo tech was available when I bought my Z, that's what I'd be driving today.
