Not if you wash a vehicle correctly. I spent many hours keeping my black cars completely swirl and scratch free. Black looks amazing when cared for correctly. OP I share your frustration. That was just plain ignorant.

It happened to me too at work and again a fool trying to be funny, an orbital buffer and patience with Meguire's polishing will do the trick. But if you are not familiar with detailing a good detailer will do it cheap, too bad you're not near by I would do it but would barter (can you cook?)...lol, good luck and don't worry... (black is the best color clean but Gunmetal is an all around color for crappy weather)
