I don't like the exterior however the interior is a HUGE improvement. It's really nice just sad it took gm so long to improve on that disgusting interior. The front bumper looks weird. Reminds me of a genesis coupe

Check this out: Nissan 370Z replacement must be ‘revolutionary’ to survive, says design head
“We haven’t yet decided anything about next-generation Zed should be anything larger, or more power. We need to take another path,” Nakamura added. “We have GT-R. If you compete with the high performance, we have GT-R. You cannot beat GT-R, so Zed has to be fine it’s own way.” Admitting that the gap between 370Z and its replacement could be similar in time to the three-year pause between the 300ZX and 350Z — contrary to some reports that suggest the replacement is due sooner — Nakamura says the Zed can’t simply evolve like the GT-R. “I feel [next-gen] GT-R is more evolution but I feel Zed needs more revolution than evolution.” |
so they'll make a prius z... cool

or maybe a Z leaf hahaha!!! |
Wow they haven't even decided if they even want a new Z... Let's say they do decide to make another one I'm thinking 2020? Nissan now sells overpriced niche sports cars. Don't even have a car in the segment to compete with a civic si, fiesta st, wrx, gti. New focus rs coming a out, a new Miata, a new golf r.. Nissan is getting left in the dust.

Guess its a good thing i decided to not wait and get a 370 lol

I gave up on waiting, might as well save up for the next Infiniti Q60 or a 2017 Nissan Z.....
|
the message i'm getting from that article if it's legit, is that the z is no more. they're going to be focusing on the gt-r. the z isn't as important. it will be down graded and probably compete with the brz/frs.
i guess it's time to start saving for boost. |

The two sports car thing is something they have been saying since last year. It's part of what killed the IDx. The GT-R is the top dog. I still say 2018/19 for the next Z. If the styling of the new Q60 coupe improves I'll look at that, if they pack it with the turbocharged 3.0 engine as they said it would have. I don't like the styling of the Q60 concept right now. Shared platform with the Q60 is probably their back pocket move that they can always fall back on.
If no new Z comes out by 2018 or whatever they have isn't good enough I suspect people will start buying used GT-R's the 2012-15's should be close to 60k by then with a new model landing. |

If true, our Z's should retain our resale values better for the next few years.
