Default Oil change time interval?

Been running Redline oil oil my baby when I got her. Change it out every 5k but she's a garage queen, am I still suppose to change out the oil every 3 or 6 months? Last one was Oct.

Change you oil based on mileage and how you drive it. Don't change the oil based on how old it is.

For the record, is there any good reason why the early 370s are every 3750 miles and the later ones are every 5k?

I think it's based on the research of oil and seeing how well the early engine did and pushed it further w intervals.

OK, that makes sense. 3750 is really early for synthetic.

Please remember a scientific fact that the ester-based oils, like your Redline, can be dried out by itself that as a result its amount just would disappear. So you'd better have short oil change intervals especially when using the Redline.

How soon you have to change the oil? - it really depends on. Just an important is that you need to change the engine oil more often when you drive your car in SEVERE envioronments, AND NOT ONLY RUNNING ON THE TRACK, BUT ALSO MANY STOP&GO SITUATIONS LIKE DRIVING IN LOCAL OR SLOW TRAFFIC ON FREEWAY ARE FAR MORE SEVERE THAN DRIVING FAST WITHOUT LIMITS to your Z.

and make sure you use the extra virgin olive oil after you change it. it's a bit more expensive than ester but sure as hell runs great!
