How is it the dealer's fault if you can't work a stick shift? Are they supposed to show you how to unscrew the tire valve stem caps too?

Maybe he got an auto :icon17:

The dealer has a pretty extensive checklist to go over, I know it took them a while to go over everything with me.

The 370z was the first car I ever owned where you had to push down to go in reverse. All my previous cars where made before automakers lost faith in mankind.

I think in the Porsche Boxter you have to push the knob down, close your eyes, and click your heels three times.

StLRedrider 10-10-2009 11:16 PM

it's the direction opposite of what your facing, lol. i had the same prob when i went and test drove the z, i looked at the salesmen and just shook my head. you'll get the hang of it, trial and error. hang in there

But it subtracts the current mileage you already have.....that's why I only have 13.4 miles on my Z....and I've owned it since April. I specifically drive in reverse on 395 during rush hour traffic. :icon17:

Ditto; was the same in my old 90 VW G60 Corrado. Its nothing new, its just new for people who've never seen it before.

LOL, thanks for the rep :). They just tried to sell the Ferris Bueler house actually for about $3 million. It's on the north side of Chicago. Probably what made me think of it when I read your post. Well that and that I remember being horrified as a little kid when the ferrari fell off the jack stands in the movie.

Did abe froman buy it?

I kid. Actually, I posted pictures of that house somewhere here when it went on sale. Pretty nice place if you don't mind anyone being able to see you. Place had a lot of glass.

I drove my friend BMW and when I tried to parallel park, I could not find it anywhere. Lol Who would have thought its on the left.

Yes...they should!

My salesman failed to explain which of the three pedals operated the brakes, so I wrote a very nasty letter to the GM of the dealership, as well a 1-star rating on Yelp. Needless to say, I had a very difficult time leaving the lot with my new car.
