Just got a 2015 Nismo Tech loaded
Just got this a couple weeks ago. Need more pics but it's an auto with all options including illuminated kick plates. Got a good deal at the end of the year.
This car handles amazingly. Already thinking about adding Stillen Cold Air Intakes. Not sure how much horsepower that will bump up a Nismo vs regular 370Z. Any thoughts? Nick http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...0078FEDDCB.jpg |
Nice ride, Congrats
I'm no pro but, I'd say just adding just the Stillen intakes isn't going to give you much hp boost. Now, add a few other goodies and... |
Welcome, Nick. Beautiful NISMO!
There are numerous threads regarding the Stillen CAI, as well as the other CAIs available. Do some reading and pick the one that will work best for you. I ended up going with K&N drop-ins and Z1 post-MAF tubes, and I'm happy with the set up. Especially given the cost. Again, congrats and welcome! :tiphat: |
smooth tubes, K&N panel, resonated HFC's or resonated TP's or PPE LTH (big job!).
Keep your H pipe and cat back, IMO. Koni yellow + swift springs + 20 F & 25 R mm spacers Uprev tune (if available -- I'd hold off on the exhaust mods if its not) DONE! Beautiful car -- congrats! |
Thanks for all the advice guys. Glad to be part of the forum.

Welcome to the forum and congrats. :D

Welcome to the social! It's a great group in here. Enjoy the new ride!

Excellent choice. I always liked the white color on a 370z. Congratulations an welcome.

congrats, learn to not park too close to curbs...youre dangerously close to screwing up that bumper there :ughdance:
|
Yep. That was my first park at my office. I get nowhere near that close anymore.

Wow, so much awesome! I've been waiting to see one in person!
If your interested in getting some photographs of it, let me know, I'm in Port St. Lucie. |
looks great dude!!! love the seats hahaa!!!
|
I was loving it until up to the pic with the auto shifter. I still like it tho!
|
Thanks all
I hear you about the auto but I grew up in NYC and stick is a nightmare to drive plus I'm not that young anymore and just want a nic drive without all the work. Quote:

Just went to HP Logic in Royal Palm. Stillen Gen3 intakes not gonna make a difference on the Nismo. Gonna go with a tune into though.

Interesting. I believe Nissan made the intakes larger on the 2015 Nismo. Maybe that's the difference.

All Nismo's make 350bhp
|
And have the same motor, down to the intakes.
|
The only differences are a larger exhaust and a revised factory tune

Article online if you google 2015 370z nismo intakes.
Here is the quote: "On the outside, the 2015 370Z NISMO ditches the 2014 model’s elongated nose in favor of a more aggressive front fascia with bigger air intakes and LED daytime running lights." I think they are talking about the design. Also quoted from the article:
"Unchanged is the 3.7-liter V6 engine, which produces the same 350 horsepower (18 more than a standard 370Z) and 276 pound-feet of torque as the current 370Z NISMO." |

Car looks great, good color choice.
Go with the stillen gen 3 intake. If you are serious about modding it here's a decent list for you. Coilovers- kw Varient (personally I was extremely underwhelmed by the nismo suspension) hopefully they took the clips off your springs after delivery... I would check if I were you as most dealers leave these on. look in your wheel well and look at the spring if u see black clips attached to the spring get them off asap Exhaust- the nismo exhaust is very heavy and can be beaten for performance and weight. Litespeed titanium exhaust is nice and shaves like 30+ pounds off and adds I believe 14hp Fast intentions is another popular choice. Intake- stillen gen 3 Spacers- h and r or kics make good spacers. I believe 20mm front 25mm rear should put them perfectly if you plan to lower an inch or so. Enjoy the Nismo! |

Beautiful car. They look better in person than in pics. Presence.
Is it easy to get to 450hp on these cars? There's one close to me that I'm heavily considering. How is the ride, handling, braking? |

Ouch. I have an Evo and I guess I'm spoiled into making power quickly for relatively cheap.
So, full bolt ons and a custom tune and we're looking at maybe around 400hp? I'm not talking to the wheels here. Any way good luck with her. Seats are awesome and I happen to love the "alcantara" style touches throughout the cabin. |

You'll be around 400 at the crank with the usual bolt ons and a tune. From there, open up your wallet. |
lol I have a 350z but I actually left it stock. Not sure how I managed to do that. 400 at the crank sounds good. Just a little extra top end power and some torque is all I'm thinking.
|
Thanks. Breaking is great. Stops on a dime. Ride is good for a sports car and I handling is very good.
