Does the Nismo 370z handle better than the 370z sport package?

The only differences between the two from a suspension standpoint are shocks/springs/sways and a brace in front of the radiator support, right?

That's right, they gusseted the strut bar. So not a tremendous amount of difference.

The nismo in japan comes with 3 extra frame braces that u can buy here as an extra jdm part. The wheels, tires, interior trim, stabalizers, sway bars, suspension, aero kit, exhaust and tune. To be honest the 4500 extra for the nismo isnt close to what ot would cost to get each of those things aftermarket, even CHEAP ****. Let alone something worth having. Dissapointing? Not really, sure u can upgrade from it but if u boil it down its not a bad value. Especially when u consider its all under warranty. I think anything further would have just driven it into a price bracket even hardcore fans wouldnt consider. Would i habe liked a factory 300zx style tt? Sure. Would i have liked leather seats? Sure. And many other things. But then it would be 50k+ .....

It's more than a $4500 difference from a Base+Sport. Buying the Nismo is a good value if you like the body kit and wheels. It's not worth it from a power or handling standpoint, since a base owner can get shocks, sways, springs, an exhaust and tune for less than $4500. It's a great vehicle, but some Nismo owners need to stop thinking that their vehicle isn't functionally 95% exactly the same as a Base+Sport.

Lol its not. Stitch and add leather to ur interior, get AM wheels, AM exhaust, AM body kit, lsd"same as sport, not base" tranny "same as sport not base" springs, sways, dampers, shocks, braces, and a tune...... ur the man if u got ALL that under 4500. And the nismo is BARELY mosre expensive than a loaded sport/touring. Which msrp tips over 40k and dont even mention the convertable. Same car yes. But a lot of hidden value. Value i see more and more as i put AM stuff on it. **** adds up FAST.

Please show me something that proves that there is a different transmission in a Nismo vs. any other 370. I'll wait. Do you know this for a "fact" like you "knew" the Nismo was built in Japan vs the others were built in the US?

I was using a Base+Sport as a point of comparison. And I said from a power or handling standpoint, which doesn't include a body kit, leather (since when do Nismos have leather?), stitching (can be dyed red for $3, and it's hard to tell the difference) or wheels.

Edmunds can do their silly day long test allthey want. But ive lived with all 3 models of the car for quite a long time and the nismo is better. Period. Ive had 5 non nismos come up to me with that same BS and got their **** slapped down by seeing my tail lights "all of us stock" and honestly its faster around a track with turns too, but its also less forgiving. U cant drive them the same, u cant turn them the same and u cant launch them the same. These "magazine" tests dont have the cars long enough to get a feel for them. This goes for any make or model, i could probably drive my nismo better than a more experienced driver thats never sat in one before. Not justifying the purchase, im being honest. Ive owned them all.

Oh and u didnt know? Japanese nismos have a rear windshield wiper, navigation, ugly mud flap looking things and LEATHER SEATS. kinda happens my wifes japanese and ive been there about 20 times. And the nismo DOES have a different lsd/tranny than base, but same as sport. Dude, devotion to my car? Hardly. It has more flaws than i can count. Im just stating the obvious. I couldnt care lessabout protecting it, so why do i have a reason to say its better than the fact that it is? Oh, have u owned all 3? Or just one model? Just sayin. And i wasnt sure if they were ASSEMBLED in japan....as nismo is japanese, nissan motorsports "american" division is separate. I even stated that in the post. Im not stating it as fact. But ur comparing someone who has tested the caf for a day in a silly magazine/web show agaist someone who has owned all of them at some point for 4 years. It doesnt matter to me what u believe, just dont argue something that you yourself are only knowledgeable about second hand.

So you bought a JDM Nismo with all of that? I could have sworn we were discussing the USDM Nismo. And what does your wife's nationality or your travel history have to do with the question at hand?

And I'm still waiting on something that shows that there's a different transmission in the base vs the sport/Nismo.

This was what I was referring to, since you used it in your math. The vast majority of us on this forum are in the United Stated and Canada. It would make sense that we're discussing the model sold here.

All this hoopla over which version is the best handling or the best at the track is pointless. The real answer is neither the Nismo or a standard Z. It's this...
