What I think is OP is a troll who couldn't afford neither a Nismo or a Vette but wants people thinking he has that kind of cash.
That or OP is retarded. I rather be the poor troll than being as dumb as selling a car and buying another without looking into **** about it. EDIT: OP's history shows hes been looking for a Used Touring... which tells me he either sold his Vette for change and can't afford a Z or he had a very bad time in Vegas. |
He's just messing around...give him a timeout and his normal intelligence will resume sometime in the future. Let us be the more mature ones

Dont break my circlejerk cv129...

I knew the nismo would be slower but I didnt think it would feel a lot slower. Yes its a great car im not saying it isn't. What if I had a supercharged touring sport? Ps.. the Elise isnt slow I owned one. Its fast but not vette fast. Im wanting to get another with a supercharger.

Come on hotrod....be for real! The only thing close between a Vette and a Z is the weight. Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to compare hp and tq outputs between a six and an eight cylinder motor to figure out the performance difference. If you want to be different, get a Nismo and twin turbo it and then you can run with the big boys all while saving some money doing it. If you want power out of the box then lay down some serious shells and move on. :ugh2:

We're in the extraordinarily complex domain of qualia... you were dissatisfied with the Nismo 370Z -- well fair enough. Notwithstanding empirical data on laptimes, etc., that which feels fast may or may not be that which is fast(er -- all interpretations being quite relative). Feeling fast or slow is, in part, a matter of power to weight... from there you can decide where to search for the next car, given whatever your financial resources may be. |
If you have that kind of money then buy a Nismo and add Twin Turbo to it. Done deal! My friend who owns a vette said he loves how the Nismo handles far better then his vette. You can make any car fast if you want.
To me, Vettes are ugly cars. Get the Lotus Exige. |
Putting a turbo kit on the Nismo would get you the power you want, but you're going to be into the car for $55-60k, no warranty and the quality of the product is only going to be as good as the installer and tuner. I bought a Z and put a turbo on it over a Vette of some type, but there's a lot to be said for driving home with a stock car that does everything you want it to without modding it.

What kind of oil would be recommended to go in a corvette? Are there any aftermarket exhausts for the 'vette? Is it really worth the money to upgrade to a ZR1 or is it just an overpriced bodykit?
That's how you derail a thread.:stirthepot: |
Sorry, not going to be butt-hurt because another car is faster or blah blah. For me the 370Z is a darn near perfect combination of price, performance, appeal, and personal expression potential. Bottom line, I'd rather take a solid sports car and make her in to a beast using my own two hands than drive a same out-of-the-box 'someone else did all the work' Matchbox sealed product.
|
If you want a fast car OP, get a 350Z with an HR. Those are fastestest.

For the price and performance you get out of a Z I myself personally am fine with it. A Lotus is fast too I know first hand because my brother in law has an 05 elise. They are equally comparable in performance give the weight and HP difference. Essentially we all can go around and around about what is better, but want it comes down to is your own opinion.
|
^^ For the price of performance, I really am not "fine" with the 370Z. I am literally just being a loyal Z fanboy that's why I bought another one. I love my Z34 though.
