What headaches? The only headache you will get is from a Stillen ,I have been dealing with Sam @ GTM and it has been a pleasure to deal with, plus I haven't seen any SC making the HP and TQ I'm making.

Wait................you are in TX? Go talk to Mike and Omar @ UPREV. They get all sorts of kits and cars through thier shop. If you need to check thier rep...............just look at the tuning posibilities for the Z/G and that should tell you something.

Without a doubt, their tuning abilities is the best in the business....... But with anything else not so sure. I haven't started a thread about my experience with them, I'll just leave it at that. PM me if you would like details.

what specific upgrade do they do?

MJB 03-02-2013 03:21 PM

They do just about anything you could think of, from something as simple as an oil change to something as complex as rebuilding an engine. I had them install my headers and clutch/flywheel and then a tune.

Ill give you a list of basic mods needed.....
Full kit of choice... Since your novice just get the kits already done no tuner kit.
Clutch and Fly... at least 450 to 500 torque threshold
Oil Cooler... I recommend 34 row from z1.
Uprev... If the kit doesnt come with it.
Custom tuning... No flash crap
Now to specifics as regards to Either supercharger or turbo (NOT NEEDED BE RECOMEND)
Boost controller is VERYYYYYY NICEEEEE... Turbo
Exaust... Turbo or supercharger
Down Pipes... Turbo Only if your smog rules arent strict
Test Pipes... Supercharger Only if your smog rules arent strict
Nice set of headers... Supercharger
Radiator... supercharger or turbo I recommend this too but not needed
MOST OF ALL GO TO A REPUTABLE INSTALLER!!!!! PREFERABLY SOMEONE WHOS DONE A FEW 370zs OR SOMEONE WITH EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH ZS.

I have done a little researching and headers are not necessary for a SC or TT as the gains from the SC & TT will exceed any gains provided by the headers. It's the law of diminishing returns, just as with staying NA. Each exhaust mod you add, the gains will become less than if you were adding that mod alone.

Just saying if you are serious about going FI use that money for your oil cooler or clutch/flywheel and CSC.

Clutch Slave Cylinder

CSC Is not needed but I forgot to put that. I recommend that too. As for headers it will make the system become more efficient. Usually after installing headers youll need a pulley because it will drop a few psi. With boost applications the faster you can get the air in then get it out the better. Most twin turbos will have a manifolds not headers. Theres a couple out there that use headers but the kits for the 370z mostly are manifolds. See on Na cars sometimes the headers arent good because a little bit of back pressure will yield a little more torque. All these mods change the dynamics in so many ways. Headers will be better for a supercharger setup then the oems.
