Furious (curbed rim)

So today I was a total idiot and stopped paying attention for one minute and curbed the passenger front rim. Pobably a good 10 inches of curbbed rim. I am going to call a mobil wheel repair place tomorrow and pray to god they can get it looking like new again. Sorry just had to vent.

It happens!

The wheel repair guys are usually really good. They can fix some pretty deep gouges so I am sure you'll be OK.

Or you could do like me and curb the rest of your wheels... Time Attack stripes! :bowrofl:

man, I feel you pain, it's happened to just about everybody at some point in time. I hope your wheel repair guy can get them back to looking like new.

Or, you could take this as a sign it's time to throw a nice set of volks on there and call it a day. Upgrade opportunity!

Trust me, the rim guys work miracles! You've got nothing to worry about.

I literally took chunks out of the spokes on my G37 after brushing a high curb. A guy came to the house and fixed it in my driveway in less than an hour.

I feel your pain. I curbed my NISMOs going through the drive-thru at Taco Bell. They have a post setup to mark the curb, but it is about 4 inches away from the area that it is supposed to mark............awesome! And I was livid.

I actually hit a curb when my Z had about 400 miles! It looked like someone took a hot knife to about 6 inches of the rim. Took it the "Rim Doctor" and you can't even tell. Trust me, those dudes can fix almost anything! Mine wasn't "curb rash" it was "curb ulcer" and they fixed that! No worries!

Thanks for the votes of confidence. I have sent off an Email for quote to a pretty reputable company so now I am just waiting for a quote and hopefully get it fixed today.

Classify mine as curb shot gun blast! There were actually small pieces of aluminum lying on the curb. I nearly threw up when I saw it.

Actually, it was a local Rim Doctor that came out to fix my rim. Awesome job.

Yeah that's an eternity walking around your car and seeing all the aluminum pieces. Mine had bits of rubber from the tire mixed in! I just stood there and thought "I'm going to wake up any minute now". Thank God for companies like that! a few years ago I probably would have assumed I needed to replace the whole rim!
