I recently purchased a nismo 370 and it is a great automobile. I enjoy the fact that I can purchase a factory automobile that is equiped with the standards that this car has. I wanted a nice sports car that has nice looks and a good gas tank for trips to the coast with my gal or my son. Besides the nismo the only reason I bought this car is because my best friend had a 78 model Z that we chilled in back in the day, and I will probably give this one to him as tax write off later down the road. If you dont like and support our section than keep your narrow minded opinions to yourself. The nismo group really has no interest or care that you can modify your car to out perform ours. For some reason in my community this never comes up. We just enjoys the Z's. Have a nice day!!

It is strange phenomenon indeed. People post something about a NISMO and some that dont have one come in and post useless non-contributing content like small packs of rabid post killers. At first I wanted to say that they are mindless goons that really dont contribute but then I look at a few of their posts and some are actually contributing and helping others in different parts of the forum. I cant figure out. I have seen nothing here from NISMO owners stating that their cars are better, they are better or anything along those lines. It would make a great psychology case study. Maybe I will call it nismaniadepressive...

Anyway... to ALL of you 370s owners (yes even you roadsters:p) I love your cars. We can sit next to a fire, roast marshmallows and sing kumbaya if you like to prove that we are all Z folk.

I dunno about the singing part but a huge Bon fire would be great fun!!
In all honesty though I think it stems from the fact people can hide behind the internet. Most people wouldn't say crap about a NISMO in person but then when they get home and hop on the net, it's no holds barred. I personally would have loved to get a NISMO but unfortunately I couldn't swing a deal I liked.

Nismo's are great. I think they look sick.

I think a lot of the recent drama came from the baseline dyno thread that got moved here, after being in general discussion

people want to feel good about what they purchased, and justify the fact they did good by not spending the extra money on the nismo.

leather and nav.... hahahahah these things seem to be the holy grail to some people in here. f$%# leather and get a smart phone, case closed.

even my corvette driving red neck brother thinks the nismo looks amazing and he hates imports.

Agreed. There seems to be alot of insecurity on their end, they would be better served to spend that time behind the wheel instead of posting usless comments that take up space and rip on other owners. Pretty lame really.

I love the comments I get on the nismo, had a 60 year old guy in a cherry 58 el camino say some pretty great things about the car while I was at a light. I love getting compliments from the older car guys. :tup:

I like the NISMO this coming from a sport/touring guy but for me I wanted a different look. The cars are almost identical except for a few items, so I do not understand the argument. It is almost like arguing between the base and the touring models. The simple fact is buy whatever you like and make it your own. I decided that I like the leather and the navigation but I wanted a different rear and side so I went out and purchase the amuse. I equate that to the NISMO owners didnt like the body style of the base so they opted for the body of the NISMO, so what is the argument here they are basically the same car and with all the modifications that people do who cares. No two cars are ever the same so why compare them. If you guys feel you are being hated on take it with pride because someone thinks you have something better. I say we are all part of the Z family so lets take that hatered and focus it on something oh I dont know say a Bugatti????:ugh2:

I don't care if you drive a Z or a 34 Ford, if the car puts you in your happy spot then its doing everything its supposed too and nothing else matters.

I've yet to see the hate here or maybe I'm just naive? I don't approve of that type of behavior here, and if there is people like that? Please let us know? We are all one Car enthusiast family, and should act like it. This Forum isn't like other flame fest forums, We intent to keep it that way with everyones cooperation.

Its comments like this ^ annoy me. You make it sound like we're all driving honda civic's and you're driving a 911 turbo. And as far as why non nismo owners post in this section? it comes up in 'new posts' i don't think any of us nonworthy base/sport/touring owners come into this section to start bs drama about nismos. i see a thread about something that catches my eye, and i look at it, and sometimes i post.

We drive nismos. We're all that.

I love my Nismo, nice bodykit and good interior. My only complate is to Nissan. If they are going to make a sport/race model of an already amazing sports car put the turbos back in production, like the 300zx. I know I would be willing to pay more. But I just have to put them in myself this summer when I get some time away from work!

Putting twins in the Z is so easy, sadly I had to take mine out.

yeah I have been talking with Z1 Motorsports about a build. I just dont have the time right now. But I will have them in before Z nationals this year.

There's ALWAYS going to be Nismo Z vs ________ Z battle. Every Z forum I have been on, I saw there's always trash talking. I'm adding Nismo 370Z vs. _______ regular Z thread to my "quick close" list along with "Manual vs automatic" threads. I don't know why people always have to get into such arguments between various Z models. As long as you're happy with your (this is in general for for regular, convertible and Nismo owners) car, why do you care about other peoples car? Just be happy you're driving a Z. There are Nismo members here who thinks their car is touched by GOD , then at the same time, there are regular Z owner who thinks their car is the best thing in this world!!! STOP thinking in such way! We are all Z lovers and lets keep it at that. I see Nismo Z once in a while and I love it. I wish I could drive it. There's no need for Nismo owners to make fun of regular Z owners and vice versa.

Also, I have created this whole new forum ONLY for Nismo 350Z and Nismo 370z owners. You guys (Nismo guys) can ALWAYS welcome have your chitchat there. Feel free to invite any fellow Nismo 350Z owners.

It's comments like this that says I'm a Nimso hater. Wasn't this comment of mine from a different thread. The guy asked about different experiences he's had with his nismo and read the rest of the thread. The haters sure enough jumped in to say their usual BS. You can read the whole thread. I made note and then commented on what the guy wanted to hear. Experiences with the Nismo. I don't know why people here are so anti Nismo saying it's nothing special it's a waste not worth it etc. No one says a 40th is not worth the money. It's a different trim level that just looks badass. In pictures I wasn't too impressed but when I saw it in person, the rest is history. How did that make it sound like We drive 911s and the rest drive honda civics? I think that's what you got out of it because of your pre disposition. The 370Z is a sweet car. Nissan did good. The next will be even better. 400Z???

Two things I wanted in my car the nismo didn't offer so I never even considered it. I know I can always buy the body kit.

You know you can " always buy the body kit " You can probably also buy the 2 things the Nismo didn't offer that you wanted. It never ends......... Don't know what these people's problems are. You're right torpedo it would make for an interesting study. I've had enough. It's on going and relentless hatred not only towards a model of a car but for the people who have them. It seems the Nismo owners here are constantly having to defend their purchase and even though we do and have, it's like talking to a brick wall. Prime example on the light end of the subject. I did not start this thread to say my trim is BETTER THAN YOURS. But for some reason it obviously is. I chose my options for the sports car that I wanted. Im not bias, if you got a Z or infinity, 350 or what ever lets get together for a cruise. :tiphat:

i thought this thread was closed. I don't hate nismos. Why would i hate a trim level on a car that i have? Why does everything have to be about 'hate'. When a 5 year old's mom disciplines him he says 'i hate you.' If you think i hate the trim level on your car enough to hate it, you have issues, kind of like how the pretty girl in school thinks everyone hates her because they are jealous, even though she isn't really that hot.

If someone came up to me running their mouth about how collectible the 40th is and my car isn't worth sh1t i'd say something too. You say us 'regular' Z owners aren't used to 'envy.' Get it through your head, No one is ENVYing us for our 30k sports cars. Jesus how superficial can you be. Most people with a car of some sort could AFFORD a Z. Anyone with an altima or maxima probably could have managed paying for the car but it simply didn't work for them.:shakes head:

honestly, if this section is about loving the nismo, have a good time start some threads about all the encounters you have with people who can't stop fapping to the wing on your car and quit dragging this argument on and on.

Somewhat back on topic...
I had some crazy guy in a Ford Explorer chase me down yesterday. I turned a corner and he was behind me. He turned after ~30secs and came up flying on my left. After pacing me a few secs he gave me a thumbs up. Its a little unsettling at times. Just weird. :icon14:
I am sure this happens to all 370 owners. They are all great looking cars.

Why would you hate a trim level on a car.... Oh it's a different trim level now, maybe that's it so you can understand better now. Relating this to a 5 yr olds temper tantrum??? Really. And thinking people hate you??? Man it's like talking to a brick wall. Look at every nismo thread no matter what the topic and there's always someone who has to add their negative feedback on the Nismo. And envy,. yeah people look at my Nismo and say hey that's badass. And they do like it and ENVY it, they wish they had one. And according to you and the rest of the haters our Nismos wasn't $30k its $40k ten grand more for a "body kit." You may not hate the car but you certainly show a bias towards people who bought them. I don't see a single thread or comment that Nismo owners started saying how better the Nismo is vs a base just defending comments against the onslaught of haters. Nismo owners talking about their experiences and wanting to share what others they have come across think. And you can't deny it. It's written in black and white. And you're right I do have an issue and that issue is people like you.

I think AK summed it up nicely, and honestly, my attitude is about the same. I know a number of local Nismo owners, and I love their Z's. They're in our diverse Mid-Atlantic group, along with a number of coupes, a few gorgeous roadsters, and even a Maxima and Mustang! It's about enthusiasm for cars, and it's fun to marvel over the differences between the trims. One of our roadster owners bought the stock Nismo exhaust off of one of our local Nismo owners (since he did aftermarket). The Z is a fantastic car, and all owners should be proud of what they drive. From $30k base model (like mine) to roaster with sport/touring and everything in between, I love seeing these cars and talking to their owners. :tup:

Seriously bro, calm down. Not everyone here drives a base Z. Every touring/sport, touring/sport/nav, and 40th anniv, cost just as much if not more than your nismo.

The nismo is a trim level of the 370z. Just like the 335 is a trim level of the 3 series, i'm not sure exactly why that bothers you. There's plenty of awesome Z's on this forum, each with its own personal touch. The guy's with roadsters don't get all butthurt when a guy with a coupe says 'oh i would rather have a hard top, or 'having a roadster wasn't worth the extra money to me.' You don't hear guys with touring packages crying when someone with a base says 'yea the leather wasn't worth it, kind of a waste of money IMO.' But alas, here you are, whining and whining about what some other people think about the TRIM LEVEL on your car. and yes, groups of options and packages on a car are typically called the 'trim level' on a car.

and before you get all obsessed with how much your car cost, a lot of people payed mid to low 30's for a nismo so if you paid over 40k, and want to feel like that makes you special then more power to you.

and as far as the envy thing is concerned, you really need to get over yourself. You shouldn't envy someone for their car or stupid material posessions, however, i could maybe understand having some envy for someone with a rare exotic car, or something you couldn't ever afford in your wildest dreams, but a nismo 370z? no one out there has ENVY for a 370z, and if you think the difference between a nismo 370z and a base/sport/touring/40th etc is enough to make someone ENVY you, then :shakes head: you're just self absorbed

and like i said. i have no problem with nismos or any other 370z. I honestly love how the nismo looks and i think its an awesome car along with all the other Z's in their own way. what i do have a problem with is people like you running their mouths about people envying you for your car because its a nismo.

Maybe it's not on purpose, but you come across just like the guy in the ferrari in Fast and the Furious.

To all the nismo owners on this site Im sorry that I haven't seen the superior features of your limited production vehicle. Features like a different front and rear spoiler, the way cool rims and the lack of options. I'm sorry that I didn't choose to pay more for a car because it has a numbered plaque and not a measurable performance up grade.

I have learned my lesson and my place and will no longer compare my ordinary Z with your factory tuned race car.

Anyways back on topic if you do happen to read through most of the threads here on the nismo section you will see that for some reason half way through a thread some moron is always putting his two cents in about how a nismo is a crap or something to that effect, and it never has anything to do with the topic of the thread :icon14:

If you read through half of the threads on this site, some hater is sticking their nose into a thread and flaming/trolling in an off topic fashion. Welcome to the internetz.

We've had to hear how Miata doors are superior to 370Z doors in build quality. We've had a ton of Mustang vs. Z arguments. Manual vs. Auto blood feuds. What's the best oil? The list goes on and on.

You know the best color on the Z is blackcherry because it's 2 colors in 1. Black and cherry. Can't choose between red or black? Get blackcherry.
