Picked up my second Nismo 370z yesterday. Owned a 2009 Solid Red #274 when they first came out but had to get rid of it when my wife and I were expecting our first child. Now 4 kids later, I'm in a position where I could acquire another one so this car has a ton of sentimental value to me.

It's a 2011 Solid Red #142. I got an unbelievable deal on the vehicle, it was a Ford dealer using a base 370z model to book it, they had it on the lot for +45 days, and I went in to negotiate on the last day of the month 1/31. Therefore I had a lot of leverage/favor during negotiations. Just a hair under 35k miles on her and she is stock....but not for long of course. On the way to buy the vehicle I picked up the following parts to get started and they are all due in tomorrow:

-Motordyne Art Pipes
-AAM Resonated Nismo Short Tails
-Z1 Baller Shift Knob
-AEM Cold Air Intake
-Red GTR Start Button
-15mm wheel spacers
-H&R Sport Springs

Excited for the new journey. I've missed my 2009 ever since I had to let her go. The car was an unbelievable value then, even more so now.

It's good to be back!

johnnydrama,
LOL, kinda funny how all Z's do that to you. When you sell them, you just dream about getting another one. I would say you are hooked now. Your old Z was the best sounding NA 370z car I ever heard with the FI LTH's and CBE with resonators and it still is.

It was a great setup and it may be where I ultimately end up with this one however I wanted to go a different route in the beginning. Art Pipes were only in the works when I owned my last Z and I've always wanted to give them a try. The AAM Short tails are more due to lack of patience than anything. Something that I can buy quickly, cheaply, and install myself. The 8-10 week lead time with FI is tough but worth it.

I should contact the boys @FI and see if they will sell me one at a discount. I would think my video helped them sell several exhaust systems!

Regardless, I will probably have an FI exhaust on order soon.

I'm sure your short youtube video is a record holder of viewers looking for a exhaust sound clip..

axmea? 02-04-2018 07:58 AM

We can use a little drama here. Good drama that is. That exhaust sound through the woods gave me my fast intentions fill while waiting for delivery. Watched it all the time.

Spooler 02-04-2018 12:47 PM

LOL, sounds like I wasn't the only one watching that video over and over.

johnnydrama 02-04-2018 02:01 PM

It’s my video.... and I still watch it all the time. I’m just glad others enjoyed it as well!

Sorry...didn't realize Photobucket went insane...

Echoshotz, absolutely love the wheels and definitely enjoying them. They're easy to clean also!! Thanks again for a quick and easy transaction.

Johnnydrama, (I miss Entourage), thanks for the compliment.

Beautiful 370Z you have there! What times has your 370Z ran at your track?

Thnx my friend :tiphat: I’m in the 12 second bracket trapping anywhere between 111-112mph. This is on a Non Prepped Track.

I had my Stillen Lightweight Pulley installed this morning and the shop I go to maintains a '72 240z for a local Doctor, which happened to be there this morning as well. So I did an impromptu photoshoot.

The 240z is flawless inside and out, even underneath the car. 28k miles. Really cool seeing the similarities, at the same time how far the Z has progressed throughout the years.

Cars look great!

How's the feel after the Stillen pulley install?

Good, definitely satisfied for the money spent. Noticeable improvement of throttle response, which is what I was really looking for.

It doesn't feel as drastic as the NST Lightweight Underdrive setup I installed several years ago. But from a couple of the issues that have arisen over the years with that kit that I've since read about I felt the Stillen was definitely the safer/more reliable way to go.
