Stillen CAI - Bracket Removal?

Hey Guys,

I have heard from people that you can install the Stillen CAI on the nismo, but you have to remove a bracket. Can anyone tell me what that bracket does exactly? If it does something along the lines of keeping the front stiff, then obviously I wouldnt want to take it off...

I meant the Brace, not bracket. Anyone have any input??
