Nismo STOCK whp
This may have been answered already but found alot of different answers. One guy said 315 and i think thats b.s., I know Nissan says it has 350 hp but id like to know what it puts to the wheels. Anyone know and better have a dyno sheet?
|
i did 282whp on dyno dynamics. Just wanted to see my baseline.

I do not have a base line at all. I have the k&n typhoon intake, berks high flow cats, and the NST pulleys as of now. After I install the Dr. Gas X pipe I will be dynoing my car at Z1 motorsports.

Dr. Gas... they make exhaust components.
|
My stock dyno is in my sig (291/248)
Crappy dyno and tech. I don't trust it. |
dsport did a dyno comparison and the nismo made about 20hp more on the dyno.
|
ballpark rough estimate should be around 280-290 to the wheels

Their stuff is quite overpriced, TBH. |
I have used the Dr Gas x pipe on numerous cars with great results. Its only about $175 plus about another hundred to have it coated. Im wanting to keep the nismo exhaust but just dont like the nismo h pipe. Hell if it dont work im only out about $275 or so. Its worth the try!!

honestly no point in getting a nismo... except if you like the aero.
it's cheaper and you'll get more performance if you go aftermarket. a base sport is what 32k? so 7k to spend and if you go with a base hell thats about 10k lol. thats a supercharger, coilovers and some aero... all the price of a nismmmooooo |

There's no way it's 20hp on the dyno. It's only 18hp on paper..
Nismo = sport package, different wheels, body, struts/springs, numbered car I'm happy with my purchase. |
Assuming 15% drivetrain loss, it would be a ~15 WHP difference.

its hard to guage the exact hp because every car is inherently a little different, different dynos, temp, elavation, tires, list goes on and on...

Ok this makes sense now.. My dads nismo stayed neck and neck w/ me in my car (see sig) Our power is so close but my car is so much lighter. Ahh I just want to beat him but that damn Nismo is quick.. I need to race him at a track, first 1/4 mile then auto-x

<off-topic> I feel you man. I feel like the NISMO is a better starting point if you plan on making "worth-wild" modifications. I have changed out my cat-back and the sound system so far and I am happy to a point. My next move is to go F/I, but I am still on the fence regarding SC or TT. Leaning more toward TT even though I have made moves on SC type mods. </off-topic> We are probably looking at 280-290 WHP for a stock NISMO. Wish I would have gotten a baseline dyno prior to changing out my cat-back, but that is water under the bridge.:ugh2: |
im looking to pick up a used GTM kit when they start popping up in the for sale forum. only a matter of time before some ballin TT member wants to go bigger and doesnt want their silly 450ponies..... ;) give it a year or two.

Small update here for those interested in the dr.gas x pipe results. I decided to scrap the dr. gas idea and decided to get the longtube headers which will be shipping out on Monday. I did find a local dyno (dyno jet) and I put down 310hp/256tq. with the mods listed above (No dr.gas pipe). I will post new dyno results after the headers on the (Rooskey dyno thread) if anyone wants to check it out. Happy Thanksgiving! |

I had my Nismo dynoed at Performance Motorsports in NY and my baseline was 322hp. It was on a Mustang dyno. I installed testpipes on her and now she is putting out 335hp.
|
Nice numbers.
I'll dyne mine soon |
