Not sure if you've settled on one of the previous solutions yet, but I recently got a no plate-ticket and had to find one too.
If you're willing to give up your tow-hook (which I was) you can take it to a machine-shop and have them cut the loop off around where it starts to taper off. He then welded a ~8 inch extension on and tapped it with a standard bolt size (8mm I think). Then took an aluminum rectangle stock, drilled it with a recessed hole to attach to the tow hook, and tapped the corners with a smaller bolt size to fit the license plate. Painted it black and it looks pretty solid. Cost me about 120 bucks, but the cop basically promised he'd be back to look for me :/. Any machine shop should be capable of this...let me know if you're interested and I can get exact specs and pics if you'd like. |
