and the rest of it is disgusting... Did you buy this car with your own money ? Do you realize the value of the car and of the dollar ? You say the 370 isnt the same as the 350z nismo... its not all that different...

How long did you have the 350z nismo ?

.

Yes I bought it with my own money, does it matter? For me whoever is paying doesn't matter since money is money... hard to get for me and for you. I had a couple of friends in the same situation years ago and never ever acted like the guys on this forum. Pointing out fingers to somebody else is not the best way to create a community sharing experiences. I'm disappointed overall with the conduct here because I could be totally selfish not posting this for other people. I have a family, my own company and I suppose the ones who believe that are more experienced than others handling their Z's should be more collaborative and not getting a condescending tone on their posts. Regardless on what happened to me or to the others in the past/future, I think you could take a better advantage on having somebody like me posting my own experience and try to collaborate with the new Z buyers to take care of themselves when driving it on the streets. My first impression is that you think I was drifting all over the place like a dumb. First, I don't know how to drift so I did my best to keep the car under control, and second, the area where I was at the crash time is not populated so I was a little bit faster than usual.

By the way, thanks for those who cared about me and my Nismo. I received a call from Nissan that the frame was not affected so it should be ok in a few weeks.

Yes, it is nice to know how not to be stupid when driving.
Sorry, but the negative I see is fully warranted. You have crashed multiple vehicles in the same manner in a few years, maybe you should re-evaluate what you drive? Also, why are you attempting to drive in an extremely illegal manner and very dangerous for yourself and more important others on public streets? I agree with others, your licenses should be suspended for some time currently, and hopefully once it is reinstated you will have learned how to drive.

Edit: Also, you are calling on this community for its treatment of you. This community is pretty top notch from others places I have been, and it is a very well known fact that illegal, stupid, and dangerous driving is no place on public streets. We fully welcome taking your car to the extremes on the track where you are in a closed environment and with hopefully proper safety equipment.

What do you want people to collaborate on? Do you think we're going to give pointers on how to properly drift on public streets? Is that the kind of collaboration you're looking for? The reason you're getting negative feedback is that the majority of people on this forum think it's irresponsible to go out at 3AM to live out one's Tokyo Drift fantasies, period. So the last thing they're going to do is "collaborate" on how you could have done it better! As for not being selfish by posting what happened to you, I will give you that. Credit where credit is due. But the only way I see your post truly benefiting others is in its service as a cautionary tale. In other words, your post is valuable only in so far as it serves as an example of what NOT to do. Also, I know you're quite new to this forum, so you may not be aware of something. Namely, you're not the first person to post about wiping out their Nismo while trying to slide around, have some fun with VDC turned off, etc. Point being, a lot of the negativity stems from the fact that we're seeing a pattern develop with all these posts, a pattern that actually makes me wonder what is it about the Nismo that appeals to a demographic that appears to have a higher incident rate of irresponsible antics leading to crashes. So one could also argue that by posting your experience, you're also helping to further sully the collective reputation of Nismo owners. I mean seriously. Based on all the posts I've seen from Nismo owners wiping out, if I ever were to consider buying a used one, I think one of the first things I'd ask is "How many times has this thing been crashed into a curb?" Now, I don't know if you think I'm being a negative prick after all that, and it's okay if you do. But I'm just trying to be honest with you.

I don't know what hurts more... crashing a new car, or this thread.

Live and learn OP... and hopefully you learned to not do this type of crap anymore.

Whether my license should be suspended is something that I think is not up to you to decide. I agree with the fact that it is a very well known fact that illegal, stupid and dangerous driving is no place on public streets, and that's the only reason for my posting just to reinforce the consequences.
About the comment on the other crashes, those were not in the same way and I don't owe you any explanation on it. If I should re-evaluate what I drive today is also not up to you. Don't be biased against others and try to take it in a professional/educational matter. Next Z could be yours (hope never happens to you) but be sure I would never judge anybody here in a personal way.
