There was no visibility on the corner and there was a dog crossing the street... 40mph I pull up the handbreak with the VDC off but the ******* dog appeared and I hit the break pedal so I lost part of the control... tried to recover but the street was kinda tight and guess what... curb on the right side... airbags popping up and 15k to fix it. The mechanics don't believe it will be totaled...

it was my fault because that was not the right place to do that, even though at 3AM you would not expect to find a dog across the pond... (and yes ebrake in a Z in this case because that was an emergency and there wasn't any other way to stop the car or tackle the dog given the street was tight). Any body else hit the nismo's rear in a curb? do you believe that a frame aligner could do the job correctly?

in the first post above it sounds like you were pulling the ebrake for fun and games, and then saw the dog and hit the normal brakes, causing the loss of control.
but in the second post quoted above you say you pulled the ebrake to avoid hitting the dog, meaning you were traveling through the turn normally before the dog sighting

Worst part is.... the car will not total with the damage seen in the photos. As mentioned previously, the car will NEVER be the same after its repaired!!!:shakes head: What a drag... good to hear your okay though

I would have drove over the dog.

when you guys say that the car will never be the same again means that it will have a lot of problems, will go crazy suddenly or making some weird noises? this is my third crashed car in the same way and just one of them was completely useless because of this type of crash... I had an Si and did the same on the front wheel but the car was fixed and ran like new... of course you feel differences, but I sticked around with the Civic for 2 years more after the crash with no surprises...

PETA should foot the bill

The car will never handle the same way again and will rattle from places it never rattled before.

Can you elaborate on this? Surely you don't mean to tell us that this is the third time you've wiped out a car due to a dog crossing your path mid-corner forcing you to yank the e-brake! Or are you caught in some bizarre case of deja vu? Or were you practicing e-brake drifting at 3am and this is the third time you've crashed your car doing that? (In which case one would have to wonder how many more times you need to crash before you'll learn you lesson.) Or do you just mean that this is the third time you've wacked into a curb hard enough to do major damage?

My questions exactly...
