Texas Nismo 370z
Howdy guys!
So I'm about to graduate from Texas A&M, Austin native, but will be moving to Dallas to start my career in the upcoming months! Thankfully, I've been fortunate enough to get a white 370! Its the non-tech package since I would have to wait a few months and did not want to do that haha. I've had the Z for a week and it is so much fun! My previous car, and still have it, was a Mazdaspeed 3. Fun car, but obviously still a college kid's car haha Now I have a big boy vehicle (although I need to learn to drive it). I don't plan on doing any mods currently but I would want to know if there are any good manufacturers to get stiff motor mounts? I love the feel/vibration of the mounts on cars and how it makes you feel more connected to the car. I'm almost through the break in period, at about 800 miles and autocross is coming up next Sunday, so I'm definitely looking forward to learning to drive a rwd over there! Feedback, comments, concerns haha Thanks! -Manny |
Congrats and welcome, Manny! :tiphat:
Pearl White is a great looking color on the Z. Regarding motor mounts, a few members are running these and they seem to be good quality and more rigid - https://www.z1motorsports.com/g37_37...oducts_id=5587 |
Good pick. I am only at 650 miles in three weeks of owning. I can't wait to hit the autocross events.

Thanks! Hopefully, I will be able to read up on this platform this upcoming weekend to see exactly what kind of numbers I want to get out of this car haha Sent while tappin' and smackin' |
Well A usual Nismo turns out about 350 horsepower and 280 torque. So on a Dyno you're probably looking a bit less than that. But it is certainly a lot of power in that car. Cant wait to see what you got in store for the car?
What do you have planned to mod and upgrade? And in the words of Jim Carrey " B-E-A-UTifulll"... |
Welcome to the 370Z forum

As far as mods, I'm still reading up on the platform. Seeing dos and donts, getting ideas to get power without destroying the engine ha. But ideally I'd like to get to the 450whp/400tq range more or less. But as far as appearance, I have no plans on it other than aftermarket shift knob and footwell lighting. Other than that, for sure I want to get motor mounts just so I can feel/hear the engine when I punch it haha. Also so I don't have any flexing on the track. Sent while tappin' and smackin' |
450 whp / 400 trq will require boost. Set aside $15k for that.

Yeah, getting to 450whp and 400trq is going to take a nice bit of boost. Whole TT setup is going to be more or less what you are looking at.
And depending on what brand and type of turbo setup you are looking at safe to set aside between $10k-$20k. Boost is not the cheapest thing in the world. |

What about supercharged? Are there ITB kits available for this platform? Again I'm still just putting my foot in the door. Don't know where I want to end up but definitely going to learn how to drive it at its current power before I add more ha Sent while tappin' and smackin' |
