Why don't you take out a small loan (equal to the trade-in value of your civic), buy a 370Z and give the Civic to your wife.
That way you both get to keep the Honda and all it's sentimental bits AND you get the Z. The loan will be paid off in no time. ...if that's not the answer, just sell the Honda and move up a gear to the Z.
