Default Hello ladies and germs!

efuseakay here! Long-time Nissan owner, as follows:

'90 Maxima
'95 Maxima
'99 Maxima
'04 Maxima (currently)

I know. I know. Geez! Well, this will be my last Maxima. It's been a good run with some annoyances, but overall, I'll never forget ya! I am actually considering a few cars, none of which really have anything in common, which makes this so damn difficult!

2010 G37xS Sedan
2010 SHO (I don't wanna hear it!)
2010 Z

I think I can swing a coupe and be happy for a long time, so it really comes down to which car I can get the best deal on. I have been a customer of my local Nissan dealer for 20 years, as stated above, so the Z is looking pretty good right now (especially with my trade-in with only 56k miles, that they "desperately want" lol). Only problem with the dealer is that there is a whole new service staff (desk), and I don't know any of them at all. Heck, one of them told me that they don't to TSBs... wtf? But 4 of the mechanics that have worked on my '99 and '04 Maximas are still there, and know me, so any actual work would be done right. I'm sure of that!

I just started lurking here a few days ago, and really appreciate all the info about this car... both good and bad. That's what this place is about! Heck, even if I don't go with the Z, I'll still stick around! If I can swing a good deal on a Z, it'll be a Journey/Sport/7AT with Nav/illuminated kick plates. Might be tough finding one, but I've always been pretty lucky. I'm not all too sure on color either. But I know I can't do black, being here in Chicago.

Well, that's a long enough hello, so let's get back to posting!

Welcome, I drove an 08 g35xS and now A 370z. Totally different cars. I would pick the Z over the G, unless you need to haul ppl or drive around in the snow. I had the G up in Madison Wisc, and omg I was going places where Some SUVs were stuck. (Snowstorm)

Yeah that's one of my issues... Chicago... SNOW... This will be a daily driver, but I rarely shuttle more than one other person around.

Heck, having a coupe would be a great way to finally get friends to drive. lol

If I were to get the Z, I would definitely get a set of 18s with winter tires to help.

Haha, another loyal maxima fan. My family's had just about as many maxima's as you ('87, '91, '95, '99 (I30, same thing)). Just got into a new Z as well, couldn't be happier. The car drives nothing like the maxima (which is a good thing =)), and it is definitely nice not having to drive people around either. The trunk space leaves a bit to be desired, but like you I was looking at the G37 Sedan. However, when I went to the Infiniti dealer, and their "best" prices were too high and I was discussing my comparison between the Z and the G, the salesperson asked how i could compare Nissan to Infiniti, as Infiniti was such a superior brand. I chuckled and needless to say, ended up with the Z that afternoon. Both great cars, nonetheless.

Yeah I love both... I'm pretty damn positive I'd get a better deal on a Z than a G... I just need to try to look into the future to see if a 2 seater will be practical... and putting the car through winter... I think I'd cry! lol

I'd have to de-mod my Maxima too... UGH!
