So to be honest with you all the reason why I am not entertaining a boosted option is because I have heard many, many, horror stories and I have this vehicle as a daily driver. I just hope that I am not looking for the famous unicorn (just in case you guys are confused, I mean chasing something that does not exist aka daily driver reliable 500hp vehicle). I have two friends with aftermarket boosted hatches (2014 GTI and 2015 FOST) and their vehicles need a lot of attention and a lot of mods to sustain their new numbers. Am I kind of wrong about turbos? What do you guys think? Would I be able to achieve what am looking for without killing my car 2 years from now?

Well I'm not a boosted z but I've been a tech for many years and I'll just say right now the vw wouldn't be reliable even if oem so you can't blame the mods (although they may not help). The z is a great platform to start I would say as the reliability of the VQ is very good but once boosted a lot will rely on the software and tuner. I think most will say ecutek hands down for boosted and if in California then Seb is known for good tunes.

I wouldn't daily drive my turbo z

Why not?

If you can get your hands on a GTM/gamma stage 2 supercharger kit you can hit the 500+ whp with a pulley change and tune.... very good kit design and very stable. And I daily drive mine with 522 whp

If you are gonna throw the word reliable then your best bet would be either Boosted Performance or Fast Intentions plus you get great customer service from either one. For 500whp go turbo and don't look back.

Reliable is suitable in both cases ... with turbo comes higher expense .. install cost .. clutch upgrades .. heat shielding and under hood temps .... more to look after for a daily driver .... not to mention more traction issues

Copy that guys. I have some hard thinking to do. Thank you so much for the advice. As always happy motoring!!!:driving:
