I've driven manuals since 1973 (yeah, I'm old) and the Z was the most challenging to drive smooth. The lighter spring helped, but I still wasn't 100% satisfied. I bought the RJM adjustable clutch pedal assembly and was going to install it. However, after driving the car for over two years, I have become "one" with the clutch, so now all is good. It just takes some patience and mostly practice. I never did install the clutch pedal that I bought, so I need to unload it.

I do think that driving the "Dragon" for the last two years :driving: really helped to get my comfort level to where it is now.

You should get a racing clutch. You know, for practice ;)

Congratulations!

I had the same problems - When I initially got the car, if I was going somewhere new I'd check the route out on google street view to ensure there weren't any nasty uphills lol  (stop laughing).

I got the hang of it fairly quickly though. When new to it, if I wasn't using the handbrake technique, I would half clutch it on uphills. So basically, put car in gear, let go of the clutch half the way (just before the catch point) and then hold it there. When you're ready to roll, do your thing.

Also, probably a good idea to try to use your right foot on the brake as a reference for where your left foot should be to catch. Practice with the car stopped - that definitely helped me.

Once you get used to, you'll be lawling. :icon17: :driving:

It's ok. The Z35 will be out before the world gets littered with MB Z34s. You know, like what happened to the 350Z when the San Marino Blue came out.

Your avatar photo looks like you're being sodomized by your car. Just an observation.
