AK, what radar detector are you going with. Also, you going to be posting some nice install logs or are you not doing it yourself?

I have Passport Escort 8500. Onethreefive is very good with electronics and I usually help him do the install. I'll post DIY once we install the radar detector.

Congratulations on the ride, beautiful color, i saw it in person and those rims look much better in real life. AWSOME.

PS: I guess you didn't wait for the Genesis to launch? :bowrofl::rofl2::rofl2:

Actually, I test drove the Genesis. It was too powerful for me. I can not handle that power and handling on a daily basis. So, I ended up getting the less powerful 370Z.:rofl2:

BTW, took all the dealer stickers out. I was glad they were just vinyl (even the one on the rear bumper). Love the new clean look

The one on the rear bumper had me wondering, if it would come off with out damaging the paint. Some states they are made of metal, screw on!

 If that was the case, I would go back to the dealership and ask for a montly rate for the advertisement.

Yes, I was nervous about the rear bumper too. I thought it was white paint. But glad to find out it wasn't.

Namir 03-01-2009 03:22 PM

Congrats AK!
looks much better with out all the ad spamming.

If a dealer tried to put some type of 'badge' that would affect the paint I would refuse to take the car. Your reputation should be your best advertising, not some annoying tacky marketing on the back of cars.

m4a1mustang 03-01-2009 03:33 PM

When I get mine I'm going to make them remove the sticker before I leave. They took the dealer sticker off with my last two Mustangs per my request.

Just reading the forcast for tomorrow. Wondering what tires Nissan put on the new Z? Still Potenza's?
We are expecting 6-10" in South Jersey. All of our cars still have Blizzacks on them. :eekdance:

tifosiotaku 03-01-2009 04:03 PM

That looks great. What nav system are you installing? How are you going to install the GPS and satellite radio antennas without disrupting the flow of the design?

That was my line in another thread. If you look really carefully at my avatar, you can see the dealer advert license plate on the front. I'm okay driving around with one of those until my real plates come in, but that's it. I can't believe the window decals your car came with, I wouldn't have walked off the lot with those.

semtex 03-01-2009 07:07 PM

Hey AK -- is it just the angle of the shot, or did they neglect to install the front spoiler pieces?

http://www.the370z.com/attachments/n...e-dsc01307.jpg

Actually, looking at this shot, I'm pretty sure they did! You did get the sport pkg, right? You have the wheels and the big brakes, so I'm thinking yes on the sport pkg. This shot from the dealership clearly shows that there's no front spoiler on your car.

I think you can just about see it in the second image. There's a lighter colored line just under the bumper line. Have a look (you can't see my circling in the thumbnail cuz i was silly and did it in to fine a width, just have a look and you'll see):
