That's what I said when I bought my Z brand new. 3-4 years, you kinda want to get something better. I'm in the shop for an z06 or gtr. I'll see

I mean a GTR is the eventual plan/dream but thats long long term unless I come into enough money to not care lol as I'm personally not a fan of used vehicles so it has quite the price tag. As far as something better I guess that's all subjective, personally after looking at cars double the price of the Z, m2's, c63's, a few exiges, and a 4c none of them had the right feel personally (I was really close to pulling the trigger on an exige but they're a little to barebones for me) and the Z felt like a happy medium considering I wanted a car I can build up and make my own, also coming from a 350 I feel like I knew exactly what I was getting into with this car.

3500 on a catback is just too much when the Z needs other mods, such as you will eventually sooner or later have to get rid of the stock clutch slave cylinder. I started with a base model and upgraded to the '13-'14 Nismo Rays wheels (see my thread in the photos section) as they are wider and have more grip. The base model needed more grip on the front end. So far exhaust wise, I've put in Fast Intentions resonated high flow cats since I want to keep the car on the quiet side. I replaced the cheap base stereo with a Kenwood eXcelon head unit, added an amplifier, and replaced the speakers on the dash and in the doors. I like listening to music and don't want a loud exhaust anymore- been there, done that. I would consider the Nismo R-Tune exhaust- true dual front to back and a pretty good value relatively speaking.

I thought so but said screw it and pulled the trigger on it, if I'm gonna do it I might as well go with my first choice and not settle...do it right the first time sort of thing. got a local shop down to 2400+shipping so not as bad as i thought. Also ordered up an apline ilx-w650, some focal speakers I believe it was their polyglass line, undecided on a sub or not still. Wheels will be coming soon as soon as I can find a set I like kinda leaning towards VWS-1's with a step lip with probably what ever the newest version of the potenza Re-11's are as they were what I ran on my 350 and loved the grip from them.
