Thanks, yeah i did the wheels myself. I actually used Dupli-color carbon black wrap spray. I think it lays down a little more flat and smooth, where sometimes plastidip seemed a little textured. But I think plastidip is a little more durable. But i havent had any problems with this stuff.
I did it while I was doing the brakes and suspension. But basically just cleaned the wheels off leaned the wheels/tires against a garbage can and did like 7 coats, first 2 coats very light. After they dried I peeled the excess spray/overspray off the tires. Extremely easy, and it was a little breezy while i was doing them. I think I spent like $40 on the spray and had a can left over. I just did the face of the rims but you really dont even see the backside of them. |
