Went to buy a s2000, came home a happy Z owner

Hello...Just picked up a 2011 370z 7at touring sport, actually went to buy an ap2 s2000, so happy with my decision. Car has 87k, paid a little over $15k for it out the door.
Took it to the nissan dealership today to have the 90k done and have them do their inspection, they said brake pads are in the red and need to be replaced, had them do a trans flush, carbon clean up, and alignment along with the 90k. While I was there also purchased their extended nissan warranty, kind of pricey but wanted the piece of mind since my miles are up higher then I like. I don't plan on doing much to it and really wanted to be sure that if something did arise I was covered.
It's been several years since having a car that i could have fun with, last cars have been handling daddy duties. Before that had a 04 G35 6mt, so i'm ecstatic to be in the z. Such a beautiful car. You know you've made a great decision when you are at a nissan dealership and the workers are telling you how nice your car is.
As far as upgrades i'm looking at, I have to stay compliant with my warranty, so probably just some swift springs, new shocks, power stop brake package, R2C drop in filters, maybe garageline catback and spacers.
Well the last several months i've been reading everything s2000 lol, but i'm actually here and hope to learn a lot from all the info and people here, so thanks in advance.

Congratulations on the Z!

I'm curious, as transmission type is a make-or-break for a vehicle purchase, what made you switch from an AP2 (unavailable with an automatic) to a Z34 with an automatic?

Thanks everyone, i'm extremely excited. Looking now for suspension upgrades so going through whether to go springs/shocks or coilovers on the z which most have already had this headache of a decision. Also trying to decide on a brake setup....ah decisions decisions...lol.

Thank you, as far as on this purchase, transmission type wasn't a make or break on my decision. When I had my G, I loved everything about it, but I do remember hating driving it in Hawaii's H1 traffic(just moved here to Virginia, but will be making my way back to Hawaii after school), but I did it everyday, so same with an s2000, I just love them and would enjoy 6sp more then the times I would have hated it. And as far as getting the Z in a 7at, for me I was hoping to, I was also looking at 335s and would have rather it auto(with paddles) as well, as I just dont believe the auto isn't a limiting factor on either car. I will be doing some track days and autox events, but also really wanted something that was great as a DD, especially for those days in traffic.

Here's a pic of my old G35, dayum i want my AME TM02s back for my Z. 19x10.5 all four corners, 275s front, 295s rears. I think in this picture is was on JIC flt a2, stupid decision of trading for an STI...stupid me.

Thanks everyone, just a little over a month. wanted to start a build thread but dont think ill keep up with the builds on there lol

So far got Motordyne shockwave, carbon fiber element steering wheel, gtr start button, Koni shocks with swift springs, whiteline sway bars, spl camber arms, Z1 2pc front rotors and 1pc rear rotors, project kics spacers and plastidipped my wheels. Fujimura diffuser arrived today and have a aerojacket type 3 duckbill on order, but read a thread that makes me wonder when that will show up. Feel like im off to a good start...maybe i will do a build thread once more stuff shows up.

Hey looking cool, Did you plastidip the wheels yourself, and is it easy to use?

Thanks, yeah i did the wheels myself. I actually used Dupli-color carbon black wrap spray. I think it lays down a little more flat and smooth, where sometimes plastidip seemed a little textured. But I think plastidip is a little more durable. But i havent had any problems with this stuff.

I did it while I was doing the brakes and suspension. But basically just cleaned the wheels off leaned the wheels/tires against a garbage can and did like 7 coats, first 2 coats very light. After they dried I peeled the excess spray/overspray off the tires. Extremely easy, and it was a little breezy while i was doing them. I think I spent like $40 on the spray and had a can left over. I just did the face of the rims but you really dont even see the backside of them.
